"I was so impressed by the work done by Adam Whitaker with Precision Exteriors! He responded quickly, got the work done for a very reasonable amount and we did it all long distance over the phone. He sent me photos of before and after as well. Would highly recommend this company!"

"This is the second bathroom that I’ve had Miguel and his team come out to install the glass shower door. They were very professional throughout the process and the price was very reasonable. Great service just like they were with my first bathroom project 7 years ago! Thanks for the great work. Highly recommend Installers DMV"

"The installation was efficient and satisfactory; however, I would have appreciated it if the sales rep, when meeting with me at my home and going over the options, would have pointed out that the color of the window frame would not match the color of surrounding wood."

"I had a Provia exterior front door installed. The installation was done very well. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the glass in the door. It looks like some debris are trapped between the glass panes. The contractor is coming out to inspect this."

"Unbelievable! Amazing and unbelievable!
I purchased the $99 special package through Angie's List on Wednesday evening (3/18) and the deal explained that I would be contacted on or before March 20. I was anxious to have a security system installed so I called 1st Security myself on Thursday, the very next day. Lucky me, I got to speak with Kelly who began explaining the system to me, and when I told him I purchased through Angie's List and wanted to get installed as soon as possible, he didn't tell me it was impossible...he said let me check the schedule to see if I can get you in tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday.
He spent almost 45 minutes on the phone with me going over the package, determining my needs and making suggestions & recommendations (what did I know about glass break sensors, nothing, until Kelly explained to me the extra level of security it will provide). I actually felt exhilerated by the time I got off of the phone with him! Then he called back within minutes to confirm my appointment for March 20th. Wow!
When I called Friday morning to add an another sensor and request an addional yard sign, I spoke with Larry. Another pleasant and professional staff member. He let me know that it was not too late to make adjustments to my order.
My install was scheduled for 2 pm. Well the technician, Domenic, arrived early and introduced himself and got right to work. He is a very pleasant young man, easy to work with and doesn't mind questions that others would probably find annoying or disruptive. He answered EVERY question I posed while diligently performing his work. Domenic took lots of time walking me through my new wireless alarm system ensuring that I understood and had a good grasp of how the system worked.
From my first contact with Larry to Domenic walking out of my door, this has been one of the best service experiences I've had in a very long time. I would highly recommend this company not only because they offer state of the art equipment and monitoring but because they have such fine and professional people on their staff. Thank you very much, 1st Security, for the amazing service!

"George and his crew did an outstanding job! They were prompt, courteous, professional and really seemed to enjoy their work. George came to meet with us to estimate the work and provided us a quote within 1 business day. From estimate to completion, the team completed the job in 5 business days.
After day 1 we didn't like one of the colors we had chosen after seeing it on the walls. We talked with George about it and he was very accommodating, and just wanted to make sure we would be happy with the final results. This was a big change, but George only charged us for the cost of replacing the paint.
Overall, we were extremely happy with the quality of the work and would highly recommend George's painting to others!

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

You can add glass to your existing kitchen cabinet doors with a few tools and some patience. We recommend following the DIY steps listed above, which include cutting a panel for the glass, cutting and adding the glass, and reattaching your cabinetry. If these steps seem too complicated or you’d rather have the peace of mind of a professional installation, hire a cabinet installation pro to handle this project for you.

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

Glass tile can cost as much as or more than other durable tile types. When choosing the right tile for you, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each can help you make an informed decision. The pros and cons of glass tile include:

Pros

  • Light-reflecting to add brightness

  • Waterproof and mold-resistant

  • Made from recyclable materials

Cons

  • High cost compared to similar and more durable materials

  • Usually requires professional installation

  • More easily scratched compared to materials like ceramic and porcelain

Black spots on the bottom or along the edge of your bathroom mirror are caused by oxidation behind the mirror glass. When moisture and air are trapped between the glass and the backing, they react and cause discoloration. This is sometimes referred to as “mirror rot.” You’ll need to separate the glass and the backing to fully remove it.

The height of a mirror behind a vanity depends on several factors, including the height of the vanity, the placement of the faucet (on the wall or countertop), and the height of the faucet. A good rule of thumb is to hang the mirror 5 to 10 inches above the vanity’s highest point. However, you may need to lower the mirror based on the vanity size and overhead lighting placement.
