"It went well.  They laid it over a red asphalt tile.  The only problem was with our TV center, they didn"t pull it out and put the wood under there.  They came back and did it though.  They did a good job and gave me a guarantee.  They also did  my kitchen floor several years ago and they did a job on that too. "

"A member of Mr. Davis' team replaced some of the old tiles in my bathroom. He was very professional and focused. He created a design that required him to demonstrate a lot of patience and expertise. Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. On the other hand, laminate flooring has an average lifespan of around 20 years, and you might only get 10 to 15 years out of low-cost laminate flooring. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

There are several tools that you will use together to install tiles. Four of the most basic tools needed in tile installation include a notched trowel for applying tile adhesive, a tile cutter or saw for cutting tiles to size, tile spacers for creating the appropriate amount of space between tiles, and a grout float for applying grout.

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Wait for 24 to 48 hours, depending on moisture levels in the space. The tiles can become misaligned and more prone to damage if you don’t wait.
