MoldGone is a full service mold inspection, air quality testing, remediation, and reconstruction company with over a decade of experience. Our inspectors and technicians carry the highest and most recognized certifications in the industry. Whether your are a residential or commercial customer seeking mold testing or remediation services you can be assured that the project will be professionally managed and properly certified. There are many companies that offer mold remediation - make sure that the company you choose has an industry recognized mold remediation or inspection certification such as the American Council of Accredited Certification (ACAC) or equivalent. MoldGone is unsurpassed in its commitment to customer service excellence, provision of only the highest caliber service, and providing unsurpassed value in every project or inspection delivered. MoldGone's customers have ranged from the residential homeowner to private schools and churches. In fact, when the Sisters at a private Catholic girls school in the Washington, D.C. area needed a company to treat mold in the Sister's private archive room, complete with 100 year-old manuscripts, they entrusted MoldGone, LLC to do the project. On another project that involved removing mold from a 30 foot ceiling above a filled indoor pool, when the scaffolding company wanted several thousand dollars to build the necessary scaffold to reach the treatment area MoldGone built its own providing the customer significant savings. At MoldGone, LLC. we constantly strive to find the most cost effective way to fully address each and every mold condition. MoldGone technicians are trained specifically for mold treatment and remediation. They are also required to have construction experience since many of our projects involve demolition and reconstruction. Technicians are held to the utmost highest levels of quality with each project receiving a thorough walkthrough by management before it is deemed complete.
"MoldGone was somewhat hard to deal with but ultimately agreed to work on this until the air was normal and they had good reviews so I hired them. They did the first treatment and I had an air test done. It showed there was still high mold levels. I immediately asked them to return to fix it--as we had agreed. Jay argued and argued but eventually agreed to. On the day agreed, they claim they came but could not work since no one answered the door. We had already agreed I would not be there--and that both doors would be open so they could begin. Jay forgot to tell the workers AND he failed to call/e-mail me while they were there to ask me. So I am out ANOTHER $300 for the hotel and still no mold remediation. I again sent e-mails asking when they would come back. Jay admitted the communication failure was his fault but still said he would not reschedule the job. This time Jay refused to do the job--instead offering to just do "cold fogging" Next, Mike Mulieri(VP of the company) entered the picture. He assured me he would resolve the problem. Instead he made it worse. He dragged it out, argued back and forth with Angi and still refused to refund money or do a re-treatment of my place. I view MoldGone as slick, dishonest folks who try to talk their way out of any problem- but not actually remedy their mistakes. Now I'm on my way to the courthouse."

Guardian Basement Waterproofing understands your basement waterproofing needs. We know how to detect the source of water intrusion and stop leaks before they happen. We help our customers reclaim their basements from water, mold and mildew by doing what we do best: finding and repairing the source of their water-related problems. Guardian uses only skilled and experienced technicians to do the job right the first time! As a basement waterproofing company with more than 40 years of waterproofing experience, Guardian stands behind its work with a Lifetime Guarantee. Additional phone number - (410) 484-9812.
"Avoid Guardian Basement – False Promises and Poor Customer Service Two years ago, I hired Guardian Basement to fix a water issue on the front wall of my basement. Joel came out, sold me on their system, and guaranteed I would have a dry basement. We also replaced two sump pumps and had the sump well dug deeper. The main selling point was their lifetime guarantee. Fast forward two years, and I have the exact same problem. Every time there is significant rain, water rushes through the same wall. I reached out to Guardian Basement, and Joel scheduled a time to check it out. His tone was completely different this time—defensive and dismissive. Within five minutes, he claimed, “Your system is clogged.” He made this assessment without any real inspection—just by looking at the cement floor and wall. Now, here’s the catch: If you look closely at their so-called lifetime warranty, clogs are not covered. So despite spending thousands of dollars, I’m back to square one. To make matters worse, Joel was incredibly condescending and unpleasant to deal with. After this experience, I looked into their licensing with the state of Maryland and found multiple complaints against them. I am now in the process of submitting my own complaint as well. I would never recommend Guardian Basement to anyone. Save your money and go with a company that truly knows what they are doing and stands behind their work. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would."

PROTECTING BY INSPECTING! Lead poisoning is no laughing matter. Worldwide, about 143,000 deaths per year result from lead poisoning, and lead paint is the most common perpetrator. You can prevent lead poisoning from taking a toll on you, your family, and your home by having your property inspected. Reliable Lead Inspection Services, LLC has helped countless homeowners across Baltimore, MD and the surrounding counties with their home lead inspections since 2014. The state of Maryland requires that all properties – including apartments, condos, townhouses, lofts, and single-family homes – built before 1978 have a new lead inspection certificate every time the property is rented or sold. Even if you’re not in the market to buy or sell property, it is always a sensible decision to have any home inspected before doing renovations. You never know what could be hiding in those walls! I can provide 24 hour results if needed. Available 7 days a week. MDE Lic #15208 Ask us about our Senior, Police, & military discounts!

"great customer service, shows up on time and they stand by their work. I was worried about a mold smell months after the work was done and they send someone out to look over the house no charge. turns out it was just my dehumidifier, but I would definitely hire them again!"

"Very friendly, but critically amateur. Took dust samples from the center/most trafficked parts of each room (inaccurate); threw all the samples into the same bag (cross-contamination). He didn't have any 'official' equipment for bagging the paint chip samplesâ ended up using a discarded ziploc bag that may or may not have been from his lunch that day. The worst offense was finding out after getting results back that he had no idea which sample went to which room, as he did not write this information down. That was the whole job. I asked for a partial refund (despite deserving a full refund) and after initially denying the request, he offered $32 back of the $293 total, because quote: "[he's] a reasonable man." This is not a legitimate business."

Lead paint removal costs about $3,600, ranging from $1,500 to $5,800, depending on several factors, such as square footage, removal method, and its location in your home. Keep in mind that lead paint removal costs $8 to $17 per square foot, ensuring a permanent and maintenance-free fix.
Additional cost factors for lead paint removal include:
Location
Materials and equipment needed
Disposal method
Accessibility
Surface types
Repairs needed
Labor
Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:
Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot
Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project
Encapsulation: $4 per square foot
Enclosure: $10 per square foot
Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot
Professional testing for lead paint costs about $300, ranging from about $250 to $700, depending on the square footage, accessibility, and location. However, testing for lead paint with a DIY home-testing kit costs about $25, but doesn’t guarantee accurate results. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends using a lead test kit that complies with the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, which has strict criteria for ensuring a more accurate reading.
Common home surfaces to test for lead include:
Walls
Windows
Doors
Molding and trim
Railings
A professional lead paint removal company should remove any lead-based paint from your home. You should not remove or paint over it yourself because handling lead-based paint poses health risks, according to the EPA. Professionals trained and certified to handle lead-based paint abatement use specialized equipment like HEPA vacuums and methods like chemical stripping and abrasive blasting to remove paint and particles as safely as possible. They are also trained on how to properly dispose of lead-based paint material.
You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.
What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?
Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?
How do you test for lead paint?
What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?
What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?
Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?
