"They were terrific. They redid my kitchen, scraped wallpaper, etc.  The Foreman, Walter, was fabulous.  He actually called me once when he was stuck in traffic to let me know that he was going to be about 10 minutes late.  I couldn't believe it.  He pretty much painted everything.  He was meticulous.  Everything had to be moved out so that it could be completed the right way.  It was so much better than any other painters I've had in the past.  The cost was a bit more, they were our middle estimate, but totally worth it.  He refinished seven doors as well as my kitchen and laundry room.  The cabinets looked like they just came off the showroom floor.  He made a whole room in our carport.  It was a beautiful job.  He was a true craftsman.  The employees were thoughtful and had been with the company for over 20 years.  They spoke very highly of the owner.  They've been in the area for a long time.   They really go the extra mile. They worked with me."

"I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again.

"JL painting exceeded my expectations! My previous contractor suddenly disappeared leaving me looking for a company to remove wallpaper and paneling. The team that worked at my house arrived early, stayed late, and worked the entire time they were here. They cleaned up after themselves both eveningsand on the third day for the touch up and finishing odds and ends they left my house in the condition they found it. The price was excellent! Good group of guys showed up to perform the work.  However, the work performed was just fair.  I ended up with paint drippings on approx. 70% of my roman shades throughout the house and more on the floor in a number of places.  I was supposed to get 2 coats throughout the home.  To me, two coats means two coats.... one coat applied, let dry, second coat applied.  To them, it means using a roller wither a deeper pile.  So, get up close to my walls and you can see the color beneath where the coverage wasn't enough.  Luckily my new color was really similar to my old, so it's not a glaring issue.

My mudroom was painted an incorrect color.  It appears that they had run out of the color needed and just moved forward with what they had instead of driving 1 mile to Sherwin Williams and picking up a gallon.  Again, the color wasn't a drastic change from the other, so maybe they thought it would go unnoticed??

I'm a business owner myself and understand the importance of speed of work to maximize your profit, but NEVER at the expense of quality and professionalism.  Slow down, take a bit less profit, do incredible work and watch your business explode!
