The project entailed wallpaper removal from 2.5 bathrooms and kitchen, repainting those rooms; installing a tile backsplash and vinyl tile floor in the kitchen; replacing the kitchen countertop; repairing a cabinet; repairing drywall and painting the ceiling in the master bedroom. The owner came out to do the estimate himself. He was accommodating when I wanted to expand the scope of the initial project and came out a second time to give me an updated estimate. He was easy to reach via cell or email. The estimate was more than fair. His crew completed the job in three days. Good group of guys showed up to perform the work.  However, the work performed was just fair.  I ended up with paint drippings on approx. 70% of my roman shades throughout the house and more on the floor in a number of places.  I was supposed to get 2 coats throughout the home.  To me, two coats means two coats.... one coat applied, let dry, second coat applied.  To them, it means using a roller wither a deeper pile.  So, get up close to my walls and you can see the color beneath where the coverage wasn't enough.  Luckily my new color was really similar to my old, so it's not a glaring issue.

My mudroom was painted an incorrect color.  It appears that they had run out of the color needed and just moved forward with what they had instead of driving 1 mile to Sherwin Williams and picking up a gallon.  Again, the color wasn't a drastic change from the other, so maybe they thought it would go unnoticed??

I'm a business owner myself and understand the importance of speed of work to maximize your profit, but NEVER at the expense of quality and professionalism.  Slow down, take a bit less profit, do incredible work and watch your business explode!
