"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"I am not easy to impress because I am a perfectionist. But the movers from Great Nation Moving did the impossible. They impressed me like anything. I tried a lot but I couldnâ t fault them at all. The rep was coordinating the entire process. The moving team arrived on time with his helpers. Nothing was damaged or dented, not even a spot on anything. They displayed the best use of skill and experience. I am recommending this company to everyone for all kind of moving services."

"I recently moved out of state and hired American RElocation to help witht hat. The move was not an easy one, seeing the distance involved. I feel Michael the team were really on top of things from the moment we got started with our move. I feel the pricing was reasonable, not too high but not too low. It was ok conisdering the distance that was involved here. The move took several days, since it was out of state. I'm happy with how things went."

Moving questions, answered by experts

A house may need to be moved due to land redevelopment, to avoid demolition, to preserve a historic structure, to adapt to zoning changes, or to relocate to a safer or more desirable location because of climate change.

Your furnace rests at the center of one of the most complicated infrastructures in your home. Air intakes, ducts, water, electricity, and sometimes gas connect up to the system. Most of these lines were run to this point specifically to service the furnace, so they’ll need to be closed up and new ones established.  A furnace is almost always connected to the air conditioner, so you’ll probably be moving those components as well.

Moving a furnace a few feet is probably no big deal. Moving it into a different part of the house is a different story.

No, homeowners insurance does not typically cover moving expenses. Homeowners insurance provides coverage and pay-outs if you experience damage to the home you currently live in. You’ll need to save separately for moving expenses like hiring movers, renting a tow truck, or shipping your belongings.

You should give yourself ample time to pack clothes for a move. For best results, begin packing at least a few weeks before moving. The packing process may take shorter or longer depending on how many clothes you have and the size of your home. Start with clothing that’s out of season and work you way to the pieces you plan to pack in your moving-day suitcase.

Yes, it is generally possible to move a stair lift to another home, but the feasibility depends on the type of lift. Straight stair lifts are much simpler to move and can usually be reinstalled on other straight staircases with professional help. Curved stair lifts, however, are custom-built for a specific stairway. Because each rail is designed to fit the unique curves of the original staircase, it is unlikely to work in a new home. Moving a curved lift can be costly and challenging, and you may need to sell or remove the old unit and install a new one at your new location.
