"Chris is a very professional and meticulous tile installer. From the start he did everything he said heâ  d do. He was very responsive to any correspondence . "Kevin works solo, so the job took about 1 month. During this time we did not have our stove, laundry, dishwasher and our fridge was in our family room. Someone with a larger crew would have finished faster, but the quality of the work is outstanding. We liked the work so much, we hired Kevin to come back and install a glass tile backsplash in our kitchen. Kevin even helped repair a leaking valve in the laundry and the soggy wall it caused as well as install a new vanity and toilet in our bath. I'd give him my highest recommendation."

"These guys did an awesome job on our old house foundation inside and out. It looks fabulous we are happier then we even expected. When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

Tiles on backsplashes can last even longer since they’re less likely to crack under foot traffic or from accidental drops, but even tile in high-traffic flooring can last a century or more with proper installation and upkeep. Porcelain tiles are denser and stronger than standard ceramic tiles, so they’ll last longer, often pushing past the 100-year mark.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire. 

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.
