"Deserving more than 5 stars on all. Customer Service which I had not experienced with duct cleaning + business previously ! explaining all their process before beginnng actual cleaning. I asked for several of their business cards to share! I have never done so with any other " cleaning " air quality Service! I had spoken to a local high sales realtor within the same morning to recommend, as I gave her his business cards! I will continue to recommend NEQAS to anyone I know who uses or will be needing such services. Taking pictures inside ducts ,before doing any work, directly in front of you is quite impressive display of honesty.comparing the before and after pictures are easy to recognize same ductwork. Honesty flows as a natural way of doing business. I am very impressed with total interactions from scheduling with Debbie, including her explanations of fees etc. and follow up emails, as we have bad to no cell service at location. Schedule was met entirely as planned. Would never call or recommend any other company. VT is lucky to have them Service`our area."

"Our central air unit died during the hottest days of the year so far. It is a new unit . We called a few places desperate for service and were told it would be a few weeks for most companies to make it out. Called Landrys after finding them on google. A woman called me back less than 20 minutes after first phone call and said they would be out today. Tyler came and was great. Fixed our unit and saved our life! We will be using them in the future for sure. 5 stars for service and their customer service is without a doubt 5 stars as well."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If both your furnace and AC unit are more than a decade old, it may be a good idea to replace both of them. However, your furnace can last up to three decades, and your air conditioner can typically last up to 15 years, so consulting with a pro before deciding to replace both of them is best. If it’s before that time limit for each, you can fix many problems with repairs or just replace one.

On average, an AC unit lasts between 10 and 20 years. However, the specific lifespan depends on the type of unit, how often it's used, the local climate, and the quality of maintenance. Central AC units typically last 12 to 17 years, while window units have a shorter lifespan of 8 to 10 years. Portable AC units last about 5 to 10 years, and ductless mini-split systems can last up to 20 years. To extend the life of your AC unit, it's important to perform regular maintenance, such as replacing filters, cleaning coils, and scheduling annual professional tune-ups.

Most HVAC service calls include diagnostic fees, which could include checking on a specific issue you’re experiencing or running through a routine inspection checklist. If you called for a particular problem, the service call will also include an estimate to fix the issue, including materials and labor. Depending on your HVAC technician and the service you requested, you might also get a general inspection of your system components to ensure everything is working as intended.

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.

It’s critical to use the right size AC for your space and not go too small or too big. If you purchase an undersized unit, it won’t properly cool your house, and it has to work harder to reach the optimal temperature. This will eventually wear your unit out. An oversized unit can spell trouble because it will turn off and on more frequently, which also wears out your AC unit. An oversized unit also causes humidity in the home.
