"Radon Systems LLC did a great job. I had a radon level of around 6.5 in my basement for years, and finally decided I needed to address it. After receiving 3 quotes, I had Dave from Radon Systems come over to do the job. I initially was resigned to having the PVC pipe go up the side of my house, but Dave found a way to run the piping inside the basement and go thru the garage, with only 18" of PVC sticking up past the garage roof. Excellent! And now my radon level is around 1.0 to 1.5 all the time. The entire job took half a day, and Dave was clean, respectful and easy to work with. I absolutely recommend them."

Customers say: Quick response

"We are first-time home buyer. We considered to buy a condo and found him on Homeadvisor. He is fantastic and experienced home inspector. He helped us identify one safety issue and a solid list of minor issues within the unit. He also explained in great details of how to maintain various apartment appliances. Not to mention that he charges fair amount of service fee, which is significantly lower than the market price. We'd definitely recommend him for all home buyers."

"It went fantastic. Scheduling wise the gentlemen at Rhino Radon were quick to respond to our inquiry via there website were I filled out a online questionnaire. Once speaking to Henry about the specifics of my home via phone and letting him no my situation. They were prompt in scheduling a date for installation to assure my radon problem didn't delay my ability to sell the home. From the time I filled out there questionnaire on there website till the system was installed and fully operational, all took place In one weeks time. I no from experience that these days the attentiveness and service Rhino Radon provided me can be difficult to find. Having recently just finished the process of building my own home in Malden and dealing with a wide range of company's and workers. It's the little things that stand out like personal treatment, responding quick to inquiries or concerns and of course taking the time to do things properly the first time around while still treating the home with respect. Rhino Radon came recommended to me via a friend and I couldn't thank them enough for steering me in the right direction for my radon mitigation needs. I would like to do the same to anyone currently searching for a radon company. If you want the job done right and a pleasant experience, look no further for your radon needs then Rhino Radon Services.

"Excellent work all around. Very customer friendly, polite, professional.  If anyone needs any kind of roof repair, Dennis and his guys are absolutely the ones you want to call to get it done right, and get it done quickly.  We used the Angie's List to find out about Dennis since he had good reviews, and having his crew do the work for us just confirmed why he has such good reviews.  We will go straight to him if we ever need any future roofing work done.

"Spoke to James on the phone and he was extremely helpful! I thought I disturbed asbestos when I picked some layers of wallpaper off a wall and was very nervous. James talked me through it and helped me realize I didn’t find asbestos. He was extremely knowledgeable and I wish I could have met him in person!"

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

The soil beneath your house is most likely what’s causing an increased level of radon. This is because soil holds radioactivity for a long time and it’s also what most buildings are built on. Another common source of radon is water from a source that hasn’t been through periodic radon tests, such as well water. Over time, the radon from the soil can inhabit other parts of your house like the foundation or plumbing.

Abatement includes sealing entry points and venting with systems that reduce radon levels below recommended EPA limits. It is handled by certified professionals.

Use a radon test kit or hire professionals to conduct a detailed assessment of radon levels in your home.

Your radon mitigation system may be loud because it’s time to replace it. Any sounds are usually from the inline fan that helps create the vacuum and resulting airflow. If you hear a new, loud mechanical or humming noise from your radon fan, it might be time to replace it. Most fans used in radon mitigation systems last up to 10 years, but may need to be replaced sooner.

While DIY testing is possible, abatement generally requires professional installation to ensure efficacy and meet safety standards.
