We had substantial water damage from water leakage through skylights and I was concerned about damage to the wood under the skylights, trying to figure out what had happened and what needed to be done.  Matt communicated easily by e-mail, was very prompt in responding, and provided a photograph of the improper installation done by the builder.  He provided a contract with options of what could be done promptly.  The only ding is that he didn't comment on missing shingles on the roof "

"I have worked with different contractors before but Richard is on a different level. I do not usually write review but in this case I feel obligated to write one given how wonderful he was. Not only was he hardworking, he was kind and would go to any length to make sure the needs of his clients are met. Our work with Richard started last March, we wanted an extra space for guests and the initial plan was to finish a room on top of our garage. Given my bad experiences with previous projects, I wanted to be careful in choosing a contractor. So I came on Angie’s list and was reading through different reviews for different contractors. When I got Richard’s, I liked all the reviews but what really got me hooked was the single negative review on his profile. I read through Richard’s rebuttal and knew right away we found the right person. I appreciated how he explained in details (without being defensive or sounding angry) what the issues with that project were. I reached out to him immediately and even though he was on vacation with his wonderful wife (who I later met) he responded right away and we were able to fix a time to meet. He met with me and my husband at the house and he explained in full details how he works from designing down to completion of the project. We explained to him what we wanted and he promised to give us a quote in few day which he did. Given how much the initial project was going to cost, Richard suggested that it would be cost effective to finish the basement instead. And thank God we took his advice, now not only do we have an extra room for our guest, we also have an extra living area and an extra bathroom. Richard carried us along all every step of the way, he was always asking for our opinions and always making sure that our needs were met. From design, to permit (which required multiple visit to the city hall), to hiring sub-contractors, I never for once had any regrets. We had few bumps on the road, but Richard was there to calm our anxiety and to provide solutions. Cost was well willing our budget. I have never seen anyone worked so hard for his client. This man worked harder than any 30 year-old around. We are very happy with the final product and would definitely hire him again. As I have told him jokingly that I hope he does not retire any time soon."

"Their price was spectacular, as was the final result.  They went above and beyond for us, including doing extra work at no additional charge from the original estimate, as well as removing old wood from our garage (which we chose to do ourselves).  This was all done during the week of 90+ degree weather without complaint.

"Billy was one of several contractors I contacted for quotes; his price was on par with a few other builders we contacted. The other contractors I had come out for quotes were a bit pushy in their sales pitch and tried hard to upsell me on composite decking, rail systems, and lots of other work. However, Billy was very relaxed, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and didn't push anything beyond what I was asking for. 
He arrived on the date work was scheduled to start and completed it in about 4 days. It probably would have taken much less time but the weather was very unforgiving and that forced him and his crew to stop early a couple days. However, they were here about 7AM every morning, were very friendly and professional, and didn't leave any kind of mess.
The final cost was a few dollars under his original quote. 
The new deck looks great and we have no complaints.

"I purchased the Big Deal - consultation and one drawing - for a home addition/renovation from the Curtice Group. Scott was friendly and professional. He was willing to take time to talk though the various options for renovating my home (expanding in existing attic vs. finishing the basement vs. new construction at the side of the house.)
He was quick to get back to me with an estimate and drawing. The estimate is thorough. The drawing is fine. It documents what we discussed, but doesn't have much detail--no dimensions for example. But, as I mentioned, the real value was talking though the various approaches and getting a builder's opinion about which was most cost-effective for my old house. Also, Scott is very willing to come back and talk through the drawing and answer any questions. I didn't do this (yet) only because I had a family emergency that prevented me from scheduling with him.

"Excellent! We hired Sanfer and his team after meeting with him a few times and checking references. We really liked his can-do attitude and flexibility. He was easy to talk to and had some design ideas that we chose over the architects. He is a strong builder, meaning he doesnt skimp on making it well made. That was important to me. He has a really great finish carpenter too. Shout out to Edgard! Our remodel was a 4 room, bathroom, 2 floor addition (now a walk out basement/first floor) to accommodate an inlaw apt on the ground floor and office and living room on the first. We also had a small elevator added between the two floors. The pricing was right down the middle compared to others. The elevator installers remarked that the hoistway was the best built they had worked with, which was important since it needed to be within a quarter inch of plumb at any point. We used Sanfer for other smaller add ons and would hire them again for a large or smaller job."
