Over the last several years, one project at a time, they refurbished 3 floors of our living space with hardwood and tile flooring, top-to-bottom painting, rebuilt the front porch, repointed the basement/foundation, and renovated our kitchen and half-bathroom. Most recently, DiOrio completed a 2nd floor full-bath reno with some intricate tiling and custom in-wall shelving and we are so delighted with how gorgeous it came out! Just as we have come to expect, they were exceptionally respectful of our home, extremely accommodating of our pets, and always left our property clean and tidy at the end of each workday. We usually do all of our hedge abs shrub trimming ourselves, but with a few other projects going on we hadn’t gotten them all season long and they were seriously overgrown. Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! We are now looking to have Roberto and his crew back to take a few more projects off of our plate too! "03/06/2025 I hired Joseph Garies to do: 1. Bathroom remodeling; 2. Veneer stone tile installation at my BBQ area. Joseph Garies, North East Development LLC, RI License #GC-17083 CRLB Complaint C-25-78 Friday (03/28/2025) Joseph Garies asked me to pay (in full) him for these two contracts works. He promised that he will complete everything next day Saturday (03/29/2025) and Monday (03/31/2025). Friday Joseph Garies received the payment he requested and left. Joseph Gari didn’t show up Saturday. He didn’t show up Monday. Monday afternoon (03/31/2025) I got a text message from him, that he doesn’t want to do anything. It is not first Joe Garies takes customers money and run away. Actually, it’s a criminal act. ANGY Gail C. 06/2024 I hired Joe Garies…... I paid him in full. However, he did not finish the project. He gave me excuse after excuse, saying he would finish the project and be there on a particular day, but then that day would come, and Joe would send a text giving me a new excuse that he could not make it…... He said he would fix it when he returned to finish the job. That never happened…… Joseph Garies left the contract work unfinished with many defects. On May 7 Joe Garies agreed to compete the contract but so far it is not done. Joe Garries installed the water valves backwards (upside down). So, the valves operate wrongly. As a result: instead of a hot water we have a cold water and verse vise. I’m afraid to use it. Joe Garies installed veneer stone completely unprofessional: a) at the corners veneers should cut tight (no gap), cut at 45 degrees (similar wood boards); b) the top should be made of a flat flagstone. During the sidewall disassembly you removed Black Timber LOK Screws, about 78 pcs. Since you left the work, these screws are missing. Joe Garies destroys customers properties where he worked. ANGY Brian D. hired Joe Garies. 04/2025 WORST experience ever! If i could rate with negative stars, …..The "company" arrived at least 3 hours late every day to begin work. Owner was asking for money every day. The company left the broken pipe and sheetrock onsite and still haven't picked it up. They destroyed my lawn, cracked my entire concrete driveway that now needs replacement. They also punctured a gutter and garage trim (they did fix gutter and some trim). I now have to also regrade lawn, and fix trim. I do have to add they pulled one shrub as part of the job. They did pull out 3 other shrubs for me, which Joe offered for the work. He continuously told me he did the shrubs as a favor, and should be viewed as "helping me out" and should help to overlook some of the other issues/damage that occurred. This "company" shouldn't be allowed to be in business! Working on the Stone Installation project Joe Garies severely damaged / ruined the stamping concrete patio. To clean it costs $840.00 I sent to Joe Garies a number of emails, asking him to finish the contract. He promised each day to be here, but he never showed up."

"This individual came and quoted the job to level the floor in half of our basement so we could put floor down in August 2022. He said it would be done in 3 days. Subsequent occurrences: - Got COVID and started the job late. Understandable - Only poured half of the materials when self-leveling so the floor wasn't level. - He unevenly mixed sand in the concrete in certain parts, which caused holes in the concrete when we had to grind it down. - When he poured the rest, it made several parts of our floor too high, to the point where we wouldn't be able to open our back door if we installed the tile. - Came back several times to try to correct the floor but couldn't get it flat because so much grinding needed to be done. - We made the mistake of paying him in full after he came back for the 10th time, in good faith, so he could take his family on vacation... (our mistake) - Damaged the walls in the basement... - Got COVID a second time? a month or two after he had COVID last time... - Kept saying he would show up to fix the floor then wouldn't show up for weeks at a time. - After taking 2-3 months to finally stop showing up, the floor was NOT level, he still hadn't finished the job... and wasn't communicating with us about when he was going to come back. We had to then grind the $500 in materials we purchased into dust and remove it in trash bags, taking up several weeks of trash collection to fully dispose of the excess concrete that was poured. - My husband ended up finishing the job himself between December 2022 and February 2023.... and emailed M&R to let him know. He emailed us yesterday, July 27, 2023, (11 months after he quoted the job and 8 months after he stopped showing up) to say he wanted to come over and finish the job.... with the email title "stupid."... said he wants to "square this up for you and my own sanity" with a "Kind Regards" at the end."
