"Gary Dansereau is an independent guy that just works for himself and he did an excellent job.  He does both interior and exterior painting and he has been doing it for thirty years.  He is our neighbor so he just might have given us a better price but I don’t know.  He is very friendly and very professional as well.  The price that he charged us was very reasonable.  He did outstanding work, the doors look beautiful. "

"IT was great! I have never had a problem working with this company. The people (from the customer service reps to the billing to the drivers) have all been honest and realistic with expectations, answered all of my questions and never charged me more than what is advertised on their website. Patricia and Victoria have gone out of their way to return my many phone calls on the weekends too. You just don't get customer service these days anymore like the bullbag provides.They came when they said they would, did what they said they would do and did it professionally and pleasantlly. It is a pleasure working with such an honest and reputable company. Especially since the dumpster industry has not been know for this! No, not all popcorn ceilings have asbestos, but a vast majority do. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) banned its use in 1973, although it still may have been used up through the early ‘90s. But, in general, homes built or remodeled before the early ‘80s likely utilized materials with asbestos. That being said, a professional test is the only way to determine for sure.

Using a paint sprayer is the most effective method for painting popcorn ceilings, and it's why professionals choose spraying versus rolling paint. The sprayer simplifies the challenges of painting the texture. However, we don’t recommend that DIYers try to use a sprayer indoors as it could make a significant mess. Using a paint roller on a ladder is the easiest option that results in much less mess.

On average, repairing a ceiling costs anywhere from $450 to $1,750. However, there are many variables that can impact the price of this project. For example, the type of ceiling material, type and extent of the damage, and local labor rates all affect your costs. Holes and cracks are less expensive to fix, while structural issues and water damage are pricier problems.

No, you do not have to worry about new popcorn ceilings having asbestos. All residential building materials used since the mid-1980s stopped including asbestos, so new popcorn ceilings have no risk of asbestos. You can still create a textured drywall ceiling with a popcorn texture if you like, but new techniques have no risk of adding asbestos. 

If your popcorn ceiling is asbestos-free and you are ready for a new look, painting is an option.
