"We hired Bertie Walsh to re-do our garage ceiling which had been incorrectly repaired by a different contractor (not a contractor found on Angie's List). Bertie was a godsend because after he removed the ceiling he pointed out to us that the previous contractor had failed to connect the blue board to the joist (not sure if that's the right word) and there also wasn't any strapping holding it to the subsurface, which would have caused it to eventually bow out. Bertie put a new section of ceiling up and finished it with plaster and did a remarkable job matching the existing ceiling.
Bertie is quiet and hard working. No fluff with this guy. He's an honest, no-nonsense guy who will give you a very reasonable quote, will show up when he says he will, and then quietly and diligently do the work. He cleaned up well after the work was completed. I found myself looking for other things that needed plastering or handiwork around the house just so we could hire him again. Yep, he is that good!

"This is a family business. Both Maria and her husband came out to give an estimate. They were responsive, came the same day of my call, they were punctual. I was anxious about the presence of these tiles and the way they had been encapsulated. Both of them reassured me that there was no need for any remediation and that there were best left untouched. I asked many questions and got them talking for the sake of assuaging my own anxiety. They could have taken the chance to offer me some intervention and get some business. They insisted that everything looked okay and offered to check the rest of the basement and attic. These are hard working, good, honest people!"

"Bob did several projects around my moms house for us. He replaced siding, cleaned and replaced dryer vents, replaced a screen door, trimmed trees and more. We are so happy to have met and can call on Bob when future projects come up."

Customers say: Quality work
"I strongly recommend Giacomini's. Maria and her team were excellent, and I will certainly be looking to Giacomini's for any future projects. We've worked with a variety of contractors over the past year on home renovations, and no one has been better at communicating and making sure the job is done to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the deck extension and siding repairs. Maria was responsive, clear, and direct every step of the way, from providing an estimate to scheduling to completing the work. She communicated each step of the way, confirming that we wanted things done a certain way before doing it, and offering her own recommendations along the way. When I noticed one minor issue, she was prompt in following up to come back and address it."

"Stop and do not look any further for a painter. Moises provides exceptional work. He goes above and beyond to perform excellence in all of his work. Also, his workers are excellent; they do top-quality work. Nothing is too complicated for them. My house is a craftsman bungalow. They brought it back to its original grandeur. You must hire him for your next painting or carpentry job!!!"

"In addition to doing a fantastic job they also roofed my shed that was not in the contract, rebuilt a flat roof and cut in a ridge vent and soffits at no extra cost. I have a 1870 Victorian house with a Tower. The Tower is a tricky job. Freddy's guys did a super job. After the job was paid for I had a water leak but not because of the job they did. Freddy and his guys came back and sealed areas of the siding causing the problem. Customer service after the job is done, is extremely important to me. Customer satisfaction is truly important to Freddy. Freddy was always easy to get a hold of If I had a question. I have recommended Freddy to a friend (and he got the job) and will continue to recommend to others. I feel fortunate to have had Golden Group Construction do my roof and I know if I have any issues even years from now, they will take care of it. I have 100% confidence in them"

Stucco is very challenging to DIY, so it’s always best to leave the work to professional stucco contractors. The same recommendation applies to painting a stucco house, which should be left in the reliable hands of a professional exterior painter. Inexperienced DIYers can make several critical mistakes during stucco application, such as:
Failing to apply sufficiently thick layers for longevity and water resistance
Uneven application
Uneven texture across the exterior
Mixing the stucco improperly, leaving a weak structure
Failing to texture properly in between coats, leading to cracking and chipping
Late fall is generally the best time of year for installing stucco siding. We don’t recommend hiring a stucco pro to apply this feature when the temperatures are below freezing, so it’s best to avoid applying stucco siding to your home during the winter. However, it’s safe to apply in hot and colder temperatures, so any other time of year is suitable. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for stucco siding professionals, so you could save money by doing the work in the off-season: the late fall.
Many general contractors can handle adding stucco siding, but it’s best to hire a local stucco contractor as you’re more likely to get a clean finish on your stucco siding that maximizes curb appeal. Stucco can be a challenging material to work with, so hiring a professional contractor who has years of experience and specializes in stucco application is advisable. Compare price quotes from at least three stucco contractors in your area to find the right pro for your task.
In some cases, stucco siding will increase your home value. Stucco is an attractive siding option, meaning it maximizes your curb appeal. This exterior feature also comes with added benefits, such as being relatively easy and affordable to repair, making your home more energy-efficient, and making the exterior of your home fire-resistant. On average, you can expect a return on investment of around 70%.
The average cost of stucco siding is $5,400, ranging from $2,200 to $8,840. Stucco is worth the investment, provided you have the work done by a professional. Not only is stucco an attractive and durable siding material that boosts your home’s curb appeal, but it’s also more energy-efficient than most other siding options, it’s fire-resistant, water-resistant, and more affordable to repair down the road.
