"The company focuses on controlling entrance rather than poison. Non poison traps were baited for the mice already in the house, he returned three times to remove the captured mice. I have not heard nor found any evidence of mice in our home since he secured the entrance points. We chose this method of elimination several years ago it worked great but over time the sealed areas needed repair and the company was not operating in our area any longer. We are so glad to work with Affordable Wildlife Solutions. We will continue to follow up with him as needed."

"Had an animal problem in my garage and called for help. They arrived the next morning at 7:30 am, as promised. Determined it was probably a squirrel, but no evidence that it stayed. DID NOT CHARGE ... AND WOULDN'T ACCEPT A TIP!! Very impressed with professionalism, courtesy and integrity. Would definitely recommend them to others."

I have been doing pest control for about 6 years. I really enjoy it! Who would of thought! I have a core license, a commercial license and a wildlife license. I can handle what ever you need! I went out on my own so I could take my time at people's houses and not have 20 jobs crammed on a day! I can take my time and make people feel like they got what they paid for! Oh yeah, I can save you some money!

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.

Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.

Regular cleaning, proper food storage, sealing entry points, and professional inspections help prevent infestations.

Hawk attacks on pets are rare, and they won’t target animals that outweigh them. Hawks typically weigh between one and three pounds. That means you don’t need to worry if you have a Labrador Retriever or French Bulldog. However, small cats and toy breed dogs, like Chihuahuas, are at risk. Pet attacks are more likely in winter when food is scarce or in the early summer when inexperienced young hawks are honing their hunting skills.

Keeping your pool cover clean is a good way to keep smaller animals from running across it or using it as shelter. Small animals may use leaf debris on top of the cover to hide. Cleaning also removes nuts that may fall from a nearby tree that could otherwise be a tempting snack for some animals, like squirrels.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.
