"Tim and his helper arrived on time and proceeded to efficiently take care of reviving a stagnant garden fountain. Tim clearly knows all about water features and offered suggestions for its continued maintenance. He even went and purchased several rice fish and introduced them to their new home. Both young men were courteous and careful taking time time to prune back overgrown bushes and branches. I highly recommend them for any work on fountain and pond construction and maintenance."

"Green Valley has become a fixture in our neighborhood the past few years. The work Omar and his crew perform is second to none. He is highly professional, warm and accommodating, gets the job done as committed and is extremely reasonable with his prices. I almost hesitate to praise him because I’m afraid other clients will steal him away! Can recommend him without hesitation."

"Nathan was always available when I texted him. He answered all my questions quickly and professionally. He clearly laid out what he was going to do and provided a clear time line. He communicated when he was going to come to my house to do the project. He also communicated with me throughout the project. He did amazing high quality work and went above and beyond my expectations. The project was completed in a timely fashion. I could tell from when he came out to give me an estimate that he truly cares about his customers. He clearly takes his job seriously and ensures he does the job right the first time. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. I never had a concern during the subsequent heavy rainstorms that the drain pipe he installed wouldn't work perfectly. If you are looking for a person/business that will do extremely high quality work and will make you feel extremely comfortable throughout the whole process CJM excavation is the company to go with. I highly recommend CJM excavation."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

The average pond maintenance cost is $2,000. But how much you pay to take care of your pond depends on multiple factors, such as the size of the pond and whether fish live in it. Your area's climate also affects the overall maintenance cost, as you may need to winterize your pond to protect it and any aquatic life in it during the colder months.

Though there are a lot of factors that go into caring for a koi pond, the most important maintenance you can do is frequent water checks using a koi pond test strip that checks the water for dangerous conditions.  In addition to regular pond maintenance costs, you’ll also need to winterize your koi pond if you live in a colder area.

DIY kits exist, but professional installation ensures proper filtration, landscaping, and leak-proof construction.

Natural pools don’t necessarily attract snakes, although there is a chance they could stop by for a quick visit. They’re not likely to stay, however, because there’s nothing for snakes to eat in a natural pool environment. A well-maintained natural pool has clear water, so you should be able to easily spot a snake before diving in.

Yes, your fish should stay alive in a frozen pond if you winterize it properly. By ensuring your pond has enough oxygen, good water quality, and a hole to release harmful gases, your pond and fish have the best chance of staying alive and healthy. However, if you have tropical fish, they should be overwintered indoors.
