"We were so happy with the work that the Cabinet Cures team did! I love my new kitchen! Refacing is the way to go if your cabinets are in good shape and you like your footprint - you get an entirely new look with less time and money."
Even the adjacent dining area benefited from the update.
Taller doors to give a seamless look along with replacing the open cabinet gives a clean uniform look.

"Larry just remodeled our kitchen and did an incredible job! He's extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, timely, and worked in an honest and professional manner the entire time. As first home owners, finding a good contractor isn't always easy and can be intimidating - but we feel we really lucked out with Larry. He also has a designer's eye and we felt that his vision for the home really matched with ours from the get-go. We'll definitely be recommending his services to friends and family, and we'll undoubtedly need his help ourselves again in the future!"

"We hired Suetam Painting & Finishes Inc. to paint our home office. When we bought the house the room was finished in the 70's with a knotty pine thick paneling. We knew it would require some very good prep work that we were not prepared to do ourselves. Basically the walls needed to be primed properly and care was needed to do the work correctly. Mateus and his crew arrived as agreed and complete the work in one day, We are so impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail. My wife is extremely happy with the result because she always finds faults in contractors we have hired in the past. The crew was careful and cleaned up after the work. We will definitely hire Suetam Painting & Finishes Inc. again; as we have a half our basement finished in the same paneling. We really can't wait to hire this crew for the next project on our list. Thank you Mateus for the care and work you do, we can't thank you enough for transforming our office!"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

We recommend installing wall cabinets first so the base cabinets aren’t in the way. This order also prevents damage to the base cabinets if you drop tools or materials when installing the upper cabinets.

The depth of your pantry shelves should range between 12 and 24 inches, depending on how high it sits on the wall and your pantry size. Higher shelves should fall on the thinner side since it is harder to reach deep shelving areas the higher you go.

Unless otherwise specified in the manufacturer’s instructions, in most cases you should attach the hinges to the cabinet door before attaching it to the cabinet frame. Once you attach the hinge to the door, you can then align it with the cabinet frame and screw it firmly into place. Be sure to consult the manufacturer’s instructions for best practices.

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

Durability and appearance are the two main drawbacks to installing budget kitchen cabinets, which are often made of less-durable wood or plastic. You're also limited to stock options, meaning you may have a small selection from which to choose.

On the plus side, you can always paint these more affordable kitchen cabinets to make them look the way you want.
