"You can't ask for more expert, attentive professionalism than you get from Joe. He responded quickly to my first call and worked through a major service upgrade with me quickly and for a very reasonable fee. We are very happy with our new setup and with how trouble free and orderly Joe made the process for us."
"The Harland Electric staff (Hugo and Tom) did a great job and installed a functional electrical solution that worked - no more breaker tripping! They showed up early, started working right away and demonstrated great teamwork as they were separated most of the time being on second floor or basement and communicating over their phones. They informally shared status of conditions as they worked (which I really appreciated) and even went above and beyond by figuring out how to move the GFCI outlet in a better position to reach. We have used Harland Electric in the past and this proves they are able to go the extra mile to implement and solve electrical issues that other contractors can't."
"George and his team did a great job with out project. We got some recessed lighting installed and some other miscellaneous tasks. The work they did was great. I would definitely hire them again for my future projects."

"Bob was great to work with. He walked me through what materials I would need and was very responsive over all my various emails. He was able to come do the installation within days of when I was ready for it. He was communicative on arrival and timing and was punctual on the day of. He worked diligently while at our house and was able to finish up the job in one long day, despite quoting me for a day and half ahead of time. The doors are perfectly installed, open easily and look great (the paint job is mine and I need to finish up with the final touch paint, so don't judge that in the pictures below). I would definitely hire Bob again for any additional work I need done!"
"I sent a request quote to Safe Streets and my phone was ringing within 1 minute. Impressed with the quick responsiveness. They are partnered with ADT which made our choice to get our alarm system through them a no brainer."
"Matt arrived right on time and completed the project in full this morning. He was knowledgeable and offered up his ideas for an expert installation. His work was neat."
"Got tired of the buffering and low battery life with our Ring cameras. Have replaced them all with ADT cameras and the traditional ADT perimeter alarm system. So far – awesome! Should have done this much much sooner. Still figuring out all of the functions and capabilities with the ADT cameras but a massive upgrade."
Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.
