Family owned business since 1982 and 2016 Angie's List Super Service Award winner. All long term employees, no salesman and the two owners are on every job. We do not sub-contract unless it is a field of expertise outside of our field of business. We do offer financing and payment plans.

"The entire experience, from start to finish, was a pleasure, which we were not expecting. From the time Curt came out to take a look at our issue, from the time the team was wrapping up the work, everyone was extremely professional and friendly. We always heard from Curt when he said we would hear from him, and the team on-site was a hard-working group of professionals. The quote from Real Dry was about 3k less than competitors. There were no high-pressure sales tactics, and no surprise add-ons to the quote. And the work they performed is top notch! They did a fantastic job and they will be my go-to company for any services they offer. We are very happy with the entire experience!"

All phases of painting and power washing to restore new and older homes emphasizing preparation as the key to quality. In business since 1987. In the trade full time since 1983. One full time employee and 2 part-time workers. Requiring a deposit of 1/3 on most large jobs at start date of work.

"Had Dan come in and do painting himself inside my house for 12 hours in a small bathroom and very small bedroom. He had given me a price for the whole job, but did not have the time or resouces so I had just him come in to help 3 painters I had hired myself. I paid the rate Dan asked for - $35 per hour. I had three other workers on site I had recruited and hired to do painting and other jobs for my major renovations - all hourly. It turns out Dan had a lengthy conversation with one of my painters and offered her a job right away - this was Friday and he offered to have her start on Monday - This was while I was paying him to paint by the hour - it seems very unprofessional. The painter working for me (the one Dan tried to hire) had her car break down a few days earlier and I drove 30 miles both ways to pick her up and bring her home so she would not miss work/income. In the end of 12 hours, his painting was not satisfactory, and importantly, he broke a window curtain holder which is no longer made and did not tell me. A bigger problem is that only taped half of the area where there were historic black stained wood beams that I told him had a very expensive custom stain and would be very hard to match stain if paint ended up on them - this is in a very small room - well, we found out Saturday he had NOT done a good job on keeping paint off the black beams since he did not tape half of them - plus he did not have his own tape - I provided it and told him to keep it. Seems like a nice guy, but said he had problems with his two workers who were undependable It sounded like he was in a bad spot with his two other workers, but did he need to take my painter that I worked so hard to find on craigslist - that is so wrong on so many ways, while he knew I was under a very tight time frame. To make it all a bit sad, the painters who he tried to steal from me, well her car broke down, again, so she could not work Monday. Unfortunately, Dan fell off a ladder the next day and busted up this foot. I feel bad for both of them, and wish them both good fortune. She is a decent painter, but will not move or use ladders only step ladders. I never write negative review but felt this needed to be told."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

You shouldn’t directly paint over an oil stain on your asphalt driveway. While painting over might visually conceal the stain, the oil will continue to damage the driveway. Once you’ve noticed the oil stain, it’s important to thoroughly remove it within the next few months since oil stains only take six months before they begin to damage the structure of your asphalt driveway.

When hiring an asphalt paving contractor to install your driveway, ask as many questions up front as possible. Here are a few questions to ask a prospective driveway contractor:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

  • Do you have worker’s compensation?

  • Do you use subcontractors on your projects?

  • Do you clean up after the job is done?

  • Who is responsible for any damage to lawn or landscaping?

  • Do you provide a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Do you give free estimates?

  • What is the timeline for completion?

  • How do you handle change orders?

  • Can you provide at least three references?

  • Can I see some of the work you’ve done?

Maintaining a driveway depends on the material your driveway is made of. Concrete and asphalt should be sealed to protect against water and freeze-thaw cycles. Cracks and expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. Before you apply a sealant to your driveway, consider pressure washing the surface. It will take off any loose sealant and any grime that might have caused a stain. Sealing over dirt and stains will trap it under the sealer.

If you live in colder climates, consider using sand rather than salt to de-ice. Sand helps melt the snow and ice without speeding up the freezing and unthawing process of your driveway, which helps prevent cracks from forming from the constant fluctuation of temperatures.

Many services include sealing as part of the repair process. Confirm with your contractor.

Yes, most services include sealing to protect the finish and enhance durability. Confirm with your provider.
