"The price was less than I'd expected. I probably would have scheduled a cleaning sooner if I'd known that. The chairs came out well, and the sofa was pretty good. I had hoped a professional cleaning would get out the discoloration that I couldn't clean. The cleaning definitely helped a lot, and made the sofa color look more even, but there are still some darker areas. I think the results would have been better if I'd called sooner."

Customers say: True professional

"Lucia and her team have been cleaning my house every other week for over ten years. They do a great job and are kind and patient with my kids and pets. They also deep clean our rental property when tenant's leave. New tenant's always comment about clean the apartment is and how good it smells. I highly recommend Lucia's Green Cleaning."

"Excellent cleaning! Sue and her team payed extreme attention to every detail. Sue has the most professional cleaning company that I have ever had. She makes sure that her team is as efficient as she is. My plan was to use her temporally while I was recovering from surgery. After seeing the great job that she does I decided to keep her permanently."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

It may require stronger cleansers or chemicals, higher-pressure spray, or scrubbing to completely remove algae from a metal roof. Start with a mild cleanser; if that doesn’t work and you're comfortable doing so, use a stronger mix of ⅓ cup of laundry detergent, 1 quart of bleach, and 3 quarts of water to gently scrub the algae with a soft-bristled brush. If algae is present across large portions of your roof, doesn’t come off with gentle scrubbing and cleansers, or is in hard-to-reach areas, this may be a job better left to a pro.

An improper DIY roof cleaning could cause leaks by damaging the roofing material. Things like using too much water pressure on the shingles or applying a harsh cleaning solution could cause damage. If you do enough damage, you could harm the ability of the shingles or other roof materials to keep water out of your home.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

You should not clean roof shingles if the roof has damage like missing shingles or low spots where water may accumulate. You should focus on repairing the roof before any cleaning process occurs. If you notice roof damage as you’re climbing on the roof to clean it, stop immediately. Call a roofing pro to make repairs. Cleaning a roof that has damage could lead to pooling water or water damage to the roof decking. The roof cleaning process removes mold and mildew, making the roof look better. It is not going to fix physical damage, though.
