"Mark was very friendly, professional, responsive and finished the job a timely manner. He gave us a fair estimate and was able to accurately describe the scope of the project up front. We had just bought a 1967 ranch that needed updating and Mark and his team removed some paneling and layers of old painted wallpaper from almost every room in the house, repaired the walls and painted our new house to get it ready for us to move in and make our home. He was also knowledgeable about helping us choose the right paint color and finish. He even stood by his work and helped us fix a snafu weeks later in the bathroom due us not having a working fan. I highly recommend Color Concepts."

They were very skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen with many years of experience. The interior work they did was truly amazing. One room they painted was a room with tongue and groove wood that required a deep knowledge of how to treat the wood in preparation for painting. They even caulked the seams. The room came out beautifully and is really a showpiece. Sean and Eric did a terrific job painting the exterior of our house. They were meticulous in all aspects. They power washed the house and covered everything when painting including the roof. Sean even vacuumed up paint chips! They scraped AND sanded peeling areas and primed the bare wood in Preparation for the finish coats. They identified areas of rot and brought in a carpenter to replace the rotted wood. We were going to purchase new shutters but Sean said they could remove the shutters and spray paint them. The shutters look brand new. They are concerned about spending money unnecessarily! Included in the price was painting doors and basement windows which again came out beautifully. Kennedy Painting’s price was very fair. They were very professional, extremely responsive and very punctual starting early everyday. They worked hard as painting is a physically demanding occupation. Sean and Eric are honest and very trust worthy. We would go to appointments, etc. and leave the house open for them. We couldn’t be more pleased with their work and we would recommend them without reservation."

You may need to provide your own paint, depending on the agreement you make with the painter. Some painters prefer that you buy the paint and they supply the labor. However, some professional painters get a better price on paint and can pass that savings along to you even after accounting for labor costs.
The average cost to paint a ceiling ranges from $3 to $8.50 per square foot, which is about $1 to $2.50 more per square foot than the cost to paint the walls. Rooms with high ceilings require working from a ladder or scaffolding and often include trim or detail work, which adds to the final price.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rate cost factors include the complexity of the paint job, the type of paint, the height of the walls and ceiling, and the type of prep and repairs needed. For example, removing wallpaper costs an additional $3 per square foot because it can be very time consuming and labor intensive. Your location will also impact the hour rate.
