"Services: Adding mulch to and edging approximately 2000 square feet of previously mulched area; clearing another 2000 sq. feet of vines, trees and weeds, procuring and planting hydrangeas and ornamental grasses and a red maple tree, and finishing the area with landscaping cloth and mulch; creating a border of crushed stone around a shed: creating a flower garden with large stones dug up from my property. Elmer and his crew transformed the look of my large front yard, and they were flexible in accommodating changes in the scope of the project, offering good suggestions for improvements. I'm very happy with their work and would not hesitate to hire them for other work. I also think Elmer provided fair value for the cost."

When I insisted that they leave the block edging where the new beds were added he expressed a couple times that he thought it would look better without, I eventually saw it and was glad he suggested it. His crew also added a cute little circular rock area when they extended the bed and some of the rocks weren't needed."

"20+ years ago Shaun done a great job and cut down couple trees for me. It was long time ago, a time without Angi. Now in May 2023, he done another good job for me by cutting done 1 tree. "He did an excellent job! You would not have known the stump was there after he completed the work. There was a much smaller stump further away that was rotted away, and he cleaned it up. It was very nice of him!"

"Before installing a mini-split, the sales person told me that I'd need to cut down an interior shelf to a specific height. I paid a handyman $400 to do exactly what the sales person instructed. Later on, N.E.T.R. came and did the installation; however, AFTER the installation, a technician told me that they hadn't accounted for the vent opening and closing and that the shelf would need to be further cut down. As you can imagine, this type of service is rather ridiculous. If they knew that the shelf would need further cutting, they should have NOT installed the unit. I have called N.E.T.R. six (6) times in three weeks, and no one has called me back about this issue. After paying for the unit and for a handyman, it's ridiculous that I have AC that is compromised because no one with the company thought to properly measure the space so that the work by the handyman could be done once. At this point, I'd like for N.E.T.R. to take care of this for me."

"Marquis Tree Service was great from start to finish on this big job. John Marquis came out to scope the work, calculated the price on the spot, and tagged the trees that needed to be removed. A few trees were within the wetland buffer zone, so John wrote an excellent, detailed letter to our Conservation Commission to get approval for the removal. I had to be out of town the day they were scheduled to take down the 13 tall pines near our house, and I was worried about not being there to deal with issues, but John assured me all would be well. He called me that morning before they started the job, called me during the job to discuss taking down one more tree that hadn't been tagged initially, and confirmed when the work was done. I expected some damage to the lawn or driveway, but when I got home the only evidence that the crews had been there was the missing trees. I've used two other tree services over the past 20 years, and Marquis wins. They have the right equipment for the biggest jobs, the office staff is responsive, the crews work carefully and efficiently, the owner knows his stuff (he holds degrees in forestry and is a certified arborist), and (surprisingly) their price was competitive. I'd trust them with the biggest/trickiest jobs."
