"Alan Taylor is a horrible professional to work with. We hired him as an architect for our project and regretted it bitterly. Alan caused numerous delays, exploiting the fact that we simply were dependent on him once the design was approved by Boston building department. Each interraction with Alan took forever and his endless requests to get directly in touch with various committees, professionals working on the project, were absolutely not necessary, exclusively justifying Alan's overbilling. I will give 2 examples: my son was scammed out of $11k when he maid a payment to Alan, who then insisted that it was not him giving the bank info for money transfer, but hackers of his email. It took my son 4 months to get the money back, thanks to his bank, with Alan demanding a full payment over and over again, which resulted in almost 6 months delay. At the final stage of the project,while preparation of the condo association documents, Alan had to prepare as is building plan. One does not need to be an architect to realize that 1 site visit for measurements and max a couple of hours to review the engineering plans and add 8 annotations should not take 2.5 months and be billed $3680. I would strongly encourage everyone to stay away from this person."

Sanfer was professional, transparent with costs, and responsive to questions during the whole renovation process. His workers were skilled, prompt, and friendly. "I hired Long Roofing Products to replace my roof. From the beginning the sales man lied to me, telling me that they could take off my Gutter Helmets and put them back on correctly. This was lie #1. They have null and voided the warranty of my gutter helmets, because they were not supposed to touch them and according to Gutter Helmets all the roofers know this. lie #2 there were missing pieces on the ends of my gutter helmets to prevent the birds from getting into the gutters. The salesman told me they would order the piece from Gutter Helmets and replace it. This was never done. I have contacted them several times and they continue to tell me they will fix it and they never do. I would NEVER recommend them, I would only tell you NOT to use them. They talk a big game but never follow thru with their promise's."

"Pedro and his team were excellent. They were professional and timely, hard-working and meticulous, and trustworthy. Best of all (at least for me), is that Pedro is VERY responsive and his team is assigned to get your job done and done correctly. They show up on time every day, and were willing to work late into the evening to hit the project milestones. Pedro was 100% clear about the costs, and he made sure I fully understood the areas where the costs were not known or where the costs could possibly change. For example, he said, "If you open up this wall, I'm not sure what we are going to find." I told him to proceed and his team opened up that wall and found that the previous contractor had installed literally zero insulation. Pedro met with me, reviewed what his team had found, went over all of our options, gave me his recommendation, and only proceeded when I completely approved the additional work that would be done and the additional cost entailed. Pedro is a true partner and his team does great work. I cannot recommend them enough. My wife and I have already booked them for another job renovating a first floor porch and creating a roof over the open-air second floor porch."
