"As all the previous reviewers have said, DC 57 Construction is definitely a 5 star company. Lucas came to my home 3 times and helped me plan out the job. The job included: rebuilding a wood ladder to the upstairs loft, installing a railing and a new door in the loft, and adding shelves in the bathrooms. In addition, Lucas installed two railings for my back deck. Lucas and Tiago are both finish carpenters and they do excellent work at a very reasonable price. I am having Lucas come back soon to install a new screen door. Hiring Lucas and Tiago was definitely a great decision as my home looks much better."
"It is surprisingly difficult to find reliable contractors with good communication skills that do quality work, especially for these smaller projects. So I was pleased with how smoothly this project went from start to finish. A formal written quote was provided via email which I accepted and he scheduled the work for the following week. They completed it in less time than I thought it would take and did a great job. I will definitely use them again for future projects."
"Along came Richard who provided us with drawings that are computer-generated and easy to modify. He is also familiar with professionals in the area to help us know who to contact. Richard turned it all into “bite-size” pieces. Without his work we’d be trying unsuccessfully for the “whole enchilada!”"
"Ari has gone above and beyond making my upstairs bathroom into my dream bathroom! My bathroom before was a small narrow half bath that he made into a beautiful bathroom with a new shower and built in shelves! He is a hard worker and easy to work with in every way! I highly recommend him for any job. He also installed my living room bay window and did it in a day and a half. Can’t say enough good things about this company! Hire him!"
This was a 3 month general upgrade to a ranch style house built in 1960. Main house is 3 bedroom 1 bathroom 38'x24' with a 1 room addition 20'x14' added on about 1970. I had the roof replaced and electrical system upgraded from 100 amp to 200 amp about 5 years ago so they did not need anything done at this time. Just a little history.
As for this project a lot of things were done for upgrading.
Removed all old wooden siding and replaced with vinyl cedar impression siding. It costs about 25% more than regular vinyl siding but is well worth it if you can fit it into your budget.
Replaced 17 old wooden windows with Harvey vinyl double hung windows.
Replaced 2 old wooden exterior doors with therma true fiberglass doors and 2 new Harvey aluminum storm doors.
Replaced basement exterior door with new insulated steel door.
Replaced metal slider door off kitchen with new Harvey vinyl slider door.
Replaced a total of 10 inside doors to bedrooms and closets.
Replaced countertop, sink, and faucet in kitchen.
Did a total demolition of bathroom, new walls, new ceiling and new tile floor. Installed new water saving toilet, replaced
old bathtub with new 3 piece walk in fiberglass shower. Installed new vanity cabinet with sink and new medicine cabinet.
Installed new vanity light, new ceiling light with vent to outside.
Demolished old 12x10 rotted out wooden deck off kitchen and built new 12x10 3 season room (veranda pvc) with interchangeable screens for summer and glass panels for winter.
Replaced old wrought iron railings (showing their age) from 2 front cement stoops with new veranda plastic white railings.
Owners Joe and Jim are very responsive to customers needs and questions. All workers are very conscientious and thorough in everything they do, they pay attention to detail which is somewhat unusual these days. I have another project in mind for a couple years from now and will not hesitate to go straight to these guys for it "
"I highly recommend Bay State Bath. The installers did a fabulous job efficient ,respectful. When done they cleaned up the area and you would never know they had been here.
If you’re thinking of installing a walk-in shower, do it now, you won’t regret it. I should’ve done it years ago."
"I recently had a fence installed by Reliable New England Craftsmanship, and I could not be happier with the results! From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was smooth, professional, and efficient.
The team arrived on time, communicated clearly throughout the project, and paid great attention to detail. The quality of the materials and workmanship is excellent ? sturdy, clean, and exactly what I was hoping for. They also made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving, which I really appreciated.
Overall, a top-notch experience. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled construction company, I highly recommend this company. Great service and even better results!"
"We hired Casieri Construction Company to add two new porches off the front of our house. They were a pleasure to work with. James finished the job on schedule and was very courteous. They did a great job cleaning up once the job was complete. The new porches are high quality and look fantastic. Our neighbor across the street even commented on how much the porches improved the aesthetics of our home. I highly recommend Casieri Construction Company."
"Although I am pleased with the completed shower, I did not have a great experience. Mason was the sales man, and he was lovely except during the sales process he showed me doors
that they no longer stock. No big deal except the doors that we agreed on were not what was delivered. Jim the project manager came out and measured the enclosure , then ordered what we had agreed and put a deposit on. We were told it may take 10 weeks to come in?. It did. The team came in the following week and removed the old tub and walls, did all the prep and plumbing on Monday. We were told as soon as the plumbing inspector came out , and passed their work they would come right back out and start the installation. Passed at 10 AM Tuesday morning, Jim said he would send a crew that afternoon, no one showed up. This went on till Friday, keep in mind, I only have one shower. Friday arrived, the installer was here with everything needed to install my new shower. About a half hour later the installer let me kn"
"Prompt response… very professional! I have been without a sink for two weeks, called a few companies and no follow up.. Tejadas was able to fit me in right away.. they were at my home on time and did a great job cutting my granite countertop and positioned my sink to get installed by the plumber… I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs"
Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.
No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.
It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.
The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.
A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.
