"George Graziano responded quickly to my initial request through the HomeAdvisor website, then responded quickly to coming to my house, looking at the repair job, texting me an estimate, and coming to do the job. So his communication is quick and straightford. His drywall/plaster work is excellent--he removed and repaired a 3Ã 7 foot section of water-damaged ceiling-- it looks great and is ready to be painted with no additional prep! So: 1. Plastering and skimming are two different techniques for finishing walls. Plaster is a beautiful finish but is labor-intensive to install and remove. It’s vulnerable to cracking and more sensitive to moisture variance than drywall. Installing plaster on a new wall is an expensive process that can take days to weeks, depending on the scope. Removing a plaster wall can also be quite expensive and time-consuming.

The short answer is yes, a sagging plaster ceiling is dangerous. Sagging plaster on a wall is something you should fix immediately, but it isn’t a major concern.
