"It went like clockwork and they got it all done in a month. We had no problems with them at all. They stayed true to their estimate and we would only hire them in the future. We would highly recommend them as well."

We are a small owner operated company, I Keith Kapusta, am onsite everyday doing the work myself, which keeps the quality high and price low. I'm also one of only a handful of registered professionals with Trex Decking. This means if I build your deck Trex itself backs my work with a 25 year warranty. You can see more information about this at Trex.com. I'm also licensed in CT and MA. My business is proud to hold an unrestricted license in MA. It is the highest license one can earn in this trade. This license puts me ahead of most builders in CT. That is because in CT there is not a test or any requirements to get a contractors license. It is as simple as sending the state a fee of $220.00 and they send you a license, allowing just about anyone at all to be a contractor in CT. In MA they require at least 3 years of on the job experience and a 5 hour test. I'm also licensed and fully insured and refuse to every let a client of mine be anything other then 100 percent thrilled with the work. I love what I do and it shows in my work.

"Keith did a great job helping us obtain the building permit, explaining the decking options, and designing the deck. The deck completely covers old concrete steps and makes entrance into our home much easier. Keith used Trex material for the deck, which is maintenance free; he negotiated a good deal with the supplier for the color which closely matched our other deck. He suggested a local electrician for us to consult about lights along the stairs. Keith communicated with us in a timely basis and we always knew his schedule. We would not hesitate to hire Keith again for another project."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

Yes, you need a hood for an outdoor kitchen. A ventilation hood is required over each cooking appliance, including grills, griddles, and woks. If these cooking surfaces are all in the same area, you can consolidate the hood to one single ventilation unit above the grouping of cooking appliances. A single ventilation hood may require custom fabrication, which may increase the cost compared to mass-produced options.

Silestone® isn’t recommended for outdoor use because UV rays can damage the surface. Long-term exposure to direct sunlight can cause discoloration. Instead, choose an outdoor-friendly countertop material like tile, concrete, stainless steel, or natural stone. If you do choose a natural stone, make sure you either seal it or avoid highly porous stones. For example, choose soapstone over marble.

No, even if you have a vague idea of what you want, it’s a good idea to reach out to a contractor that specializes in outdoor kitchens for assistance. Professionals who have constructed kitchens for other homeowners can not only help you think about the functionality and convenience of your outdoor space—which many homeowners neglect—but they can also help you choose high-quality, durable materials that meet your budget and match the rest of your outdoor space. In fact, it’s often better to contact a contractor and get the ball rolling before you have a solidified plan for your outdoor kitchen.

While quartz countertops are durable indoors, they are not made for outdoor use. Exposure to sunlight, weather, and even heat from barbeque grills can cause the resins to break down, impacting the surface.

It’s possible to build your own outdoor kitchen, with the exception of installing utility lines, but it’s usually better to leave the work to a construction professional. If you want to DIY it, opt for an outdoor kitchen kit. For permanent kitchens and more in-depth designs, hiring an expert will ensure every aspect is high-quality and professional, the proper permits are pulled, and everything works safely. Professionals can also help design your kitchen to make the most out of your space, so it’s well worth the investment.
