"We hired Erivan to paint the interior of our house. He offered several good suggestions. Our job required wallpaper removal and subsequent prep work. Within two weeks, the rooms were fully painted and look great. He kept the work area clean. Erivan and his team were a pleasure to work with"

"Work was performed exactly as discussed and agreed to (match existing paint colors) at estimated cost. Start was delayed at our request due to high heat and humidity, with no complaints. Work was further delayed through no fault of Arch Painting due to continuous wet weather. Once a good weather window finally occurred, the work was performed quickly with no impact on us. We were totally satisfied with the quality of the work and the finished product."

"Amazing! A truly professional company. Great to work with. The work was exceptional! Would recommend them and hire them again for any painting we might need done. No drips, no overruns, no paint on the siding or driveway. And, they got it done in one day. A very long day but one day."

"Ryan and Bobby were very professional, but also personable and have a great rapport with each other which carries over to the customer. Their banter made them fun to be around as I work from home. RES made recommendations for complimentary color schemes and easily accommodated a few of our last-minute changes which included repainting an accent wall. Highly recommended."

"We live in a mobile home and noticed that the paint on the exterior was starting to look dingy. So, we started looking around for painters and found Urbano Painting. They were very courteous, professional, came out promptly to estimate, and gave us a good price. That courtesy and promptness carried through when we made the decision to hire them. They helped us pick out a good color, powerwashed and prepped thoroughly, the whole crew was very kind and professional (no foul language to even each other, messiness, or anything like that), and the paint job they did looks beautiful. It looks practically brand new! We are very happy with them and would recommend them to anybody; especially elderly people like ourselves. They were just so kind and conscientious at every step and that helped us feel safe with hiring them."

Customers say: Quality work

"We had a room that had been painted with textured paint which I was going to sand down and paint over. Major PITA and messy! Renzo had a better plan to cover the textured paint, smooth it out and paint over that. Great idea so we had his team paint all our ceilings. They did a great job at a reasonable price."

Interior Painting FAQs, answered by experts

Penetrating sealer seeps into concrete pores to protect it from moisture and staining, cracking, and mold caused by water. This means you cannot remove penetrating sealers like topical sealers. The good news is that penetrating sealant doesn’t have to be removed before resealing, as most topical sealers must. Instead, you’ll want to buy a compatible penetrating sealant (often the same kind already in the concrete) and apply it. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

Professional painters often use a Turpentine-based solution to remove paint, since it can remove oil-based paint as well as acrylics and varnishes. It’s also an organic material derived from tree resin, so it’s less toxic than traditional paint strippers. Consult a professional cabinet refinisher or painter about the best materials to use for paint stripping.

While the above methods will help you remove paint from tiles, you may need to take a different approach to get rid of grout haze. If you’ve recently applied the grout, you may be able to wipe it off with a wet cloth. Otherwise, you can try removing it with a rubber grout float, spraying it with a mixture of four parts water to one part vinegar, or using a store-bought grout haze remover.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.
