Our historic pre-Civil War property required the TLC that the Gold Painting crew delivered. Minor carpentry (above and beyond expectations), thorough power-washing, scraping, priming (oil) and top coating (Sherwin Williams Duration latex), and meticulous clean-up. Both parts of the ambitious two-part project (front of the barn (rustic red) & street-facing side of the house (extreme white) + painting and hanging 13 solid wood shutters-satin black); driveway-facing side of the house that required covering many windows) + painting the front door were completed in just four days. As an unexpected but highly welcome bonus, Tony had Nelci and Milton paint the front porch decking. I solicited quotes from five contractors and my wife and I are more than delighted with the flawless result. "This crew is a hard working dedicated group of men. They showed up on time, worked all day and did a fantastic job. I changed my mind on colors a couple of times during the process (before a huge surface was complete) and they immediately changed over to my new choice. I have all wood trim and a partial wood ceiling and beams, I had no idea that wood could be so unpredictable. They were patient with me, Yuri (owner) painted one section of trim with the color I chose, he recognized that the color I picked was probably too dark and stopped painting and asked my opinion. He was right, it was too dark and it was the color I had asked him to purchase. He then advised me about possible different colors that would provide the effect I was looking for. I picked a new color and it was exactly what I wanted. Later, after drying for a couple of days, I saw some flaws that surfaced (my dogs hair got stuck on one of the wood structures while the finish was drying). No questions asked, they came out the next day and fixed it at no extra cost. This company will give you an honest quote and finish the job way faster than anticipated. The only draw back is this: the first day they paint ALL the ceilings, so, if you can, get out of the house. Which for me, during this unusual C-19 time was impossible. But they were patient, understood when I removed plastic that they had to install to protect surfaces. They are super fast. I mean SUPER fast. Bottom line, having the whole interior of your home painted during C-19 is not ideal, but this company is. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to call me. "I obtained three estimates and CBC Painting was in the middle. I chose CBC Painting due to the reviews on Angie's List.
The work was scheduled and began on time. The work crew was friendly and worked hard. Bob (owner of CBC Painting) had his partner on site during the execution of the job the majority of the time.
Unfortunately, during the spraying of the roof overhang, a paint spray gun malfunctioned which resulted in paint over-spray getting on a newly resurfaced deck and some exterior doors. I contacted Bob and he came promptly the same day to review the problem as well as other questions I had. Bob had the deck resurfaced and all exterior doors repainted the next day. Additionally, the crew reinspected all spray work and repainted virtually all of it.
Bottom line...... things happen with any project. The mark of a truly fine contractor is how they react to the problem. CBC went above and beyond to address all of my concerns and correct the over-spray problem. We were very satisfied with the final product.

"I contacted Distinctive Painting through Angie's List, and Mario called me back promptly to make an appointment to come to my home.  We settled on a day and time to view the stained ceilings on the first floor of my townhouse (due to ice dam damage) and give me an estimate.  He arrived on time, looked at what needed to be done, and told me he would e-mail me a written estimate within a few days.  However, I received the estimate the very next day, and thought it was very fair.  Since it was a very busy time of the year for him, he said he could only give me an approximate date to do the work which was the first or second week of July.  Once again, Mario was ahead of schedule, and he contacted me to make an appointment for Friday, July 3.  He and Jay arrived on time at 8:00 A.M., and by 2:00 P.M., the painting was completed.  They were meticulous in making sure all my furniture, counters, etc. were well covered, and helped me move all the breakable items out of harm's way.  The finished ceilings looked beautiful, and I was very pleased with their work, friendliness, and professionalism.  I highly recommend this company, and would most definitely use them again.
