"We are so happy with the work that Sebastian did at our house. Not only was the work fantastic, Sebastian was amazing to deal with. Everytime I texted him with a question, he always replied within the hour (usually much quicker than that). He also often updated me with the progress by sending photos since we were not living at the house while he was doing the work. The main work that Golden Hammer did for us was in the kitchen where they installed a vent, a new stove, tiled a new backsplash, and installed a new granite counter. They also did a lot of other things around the house, including painting each room, refinishing the wood floors, putting in concrete stair by the backdoor, some carpentry, and installed a new washer & dryer. Everything they did was fantastic. Sebastian, his crew, and the subcontractors that he works with were all highly skilled and very nice to work with. I highly recommend Sebastian and Golden Hammer. "As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."
