We shopped around for months before deciding on the “Kohler Bath Remodel” product. sold and installed by Rite Window in Woburn. The salesman was good and a well-trained. He got the whole show done in a hour, which at the time was appreciated. I was a bit concerned reading the reviews about issues that develop at about the 3 year mark – I guess we’ll have to see on mine. Here’s what they sell you and what you actually get. Sales person: (1) “The luxstone slabs are very heavy, about 250 lbs, and need two people to carry.” The sample (about 1 square foot) he gave us to look at was crazy thick and heavy. The actual product out of the van during install, however, was maybe 1/8” in thickness, maybe the thickness of 4 pieces of copy paper, and the whole sheet can be lifted by one person easily with one hand. Score that one as a lie – they show you a product that is purposely different than the actual. Salesman: “We are exclusive to New England, don’t use external contractors, and all installers are ‘our own’”, which to a customer suggests that they are Rite Window employees. Actually, my install was done by contractors – they pulled up in the plain white unlabeled van, and just through general discussions, do lots of different jobs. No issues with the install per se, but, yeah, score that as a lie. Salesman: “The glass we use is hotel grade, double thick 3/8 inch, and they weigh 200 lbs each”. Yeah, not so much. Standard thin grade and maybe 45 lbs at most. My biggest concern was the quality of the fixtures, and the salesman made it known that the fixtures can only be the “top of the line” Koehler fixtures “direct from their Wisconsin plant”. This made me feel better. What actually went-in to the install, however, was a plastic control valve mechanism. So much plastic, that these fixtures are similar to the ones at Home Depot right at the very end of the faucet aisle – that $12 faucet. I expected the handle to be silver-painted plastic. Yeah, not exactly top-of-the-line. The base is a basic 3’X4’ cheapo fiberglass piece you can buy right now from home depot.com ($189) and the ceiling is acrylic sheeting from JoAnne’s, maybe $15. In summary, my daughter’s EZ Bake oven is made of better materials than this shower. The thing came out very small. The installer told me, after the job was done, that he had to take space away because he only had 3 foot sheets of luxstone, and to make them fit he made the shower smaller. They couldn’t even bring the right sized panels to do the job right. Going in to this, I was more concerned about the quality of the install and I thought from the sales tactics that the product itself was top-quality. In this case, the install and the materials are complete garbage. Without the glass, the materials maybe cost them $400 in total. With the glass, it’s maybe $2,000. So now I have a beautiful home with a cheap and flimsy master shower that’s smaller than the one they replaced. Efforts to work with them led to dead ends. Basically, I was told that you get what you got. Don't deal with these fraudsters.

3/1/2022 Framingham District Court rendered a judgment in my favor in the amount of $3,176.97 for all of the damages done to my home while this company attempted to install a $4,000.00 entry door and hardware. They forgot to bolt the the door frame to the house among so many other incredible things!! On April 13,2022 we had a payment review hearing in which the magistrate wanted to know why Rite Window had not paid the judgment. One of the owners stated he did not know how to pay and whom to pay!! LOL. He was instructed in the last hearing to pay by the 13th and directly to me. He even confirmed my mailing address. So RITE WINDOW STANDS FOR (this was the sales pitch) R=RESPECT I=INTERGRITY T=TRUST E=Excellence Ponder this: If they don't respect the courts how can their employees respect them, and if they don't respect our judicial system HOW CAN THEY EVER RESPECT THE CUSTOMER!! RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU ABLE

I had Rite replace my front door. They had previously replaced all our windows and did a fine job, so based on that experience we took advantage of a deal they had on door replacement. They install Provia Doors and they're high quality. The installers were very good, but they need to return a 2nd day due to the unusual carpentry of our door threshold, but they solved it. I'm happy with the result and would choose them again for other projects

I needed 20 new windows and 2 new sliding doors to replace all of the existing 1970's fixtures in my single family home. If you are looking for incredible customer service, quality, and value for a project... look no further. The entire process was not only painless, it was enjoyable from start to finish and the end product was better than I could have imagined. The Rite Window team was responsive, professional, respectful. Marco, my sales rep, was awesome. He quickly scheduled an appointment, punctually came out to the house and was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me great tips on which windows would work best for me and even offered design ideas that not only made the window/door layout much more functional and beautiful but even saved me money! For instance, we reversed the way one of the sliders opened to make better use of kitchen space, and we replaced a wall of three windows with one large picture window... it was not only a cheaper alternative but came out gorgeous and is now the centerpiece of the master bedroom! The install team of Matt, Nathan, and Bart were the best contractors I've worked with. They were meticulous and took their time at every step to make sure the job came out top-notch - not a single corner was cut. They kept the house clean and the end product was perfect. Can't say much better about the whole Rite Window team and experience.

The windows were installed in one day and 1.5 hours of the next day. It went smoothly including some difficult-to-remove windows being replaced easier than expected. The crew was courteous and as clean as could be expected for a job of this nature. The only part I wish was better was regarding the damage that was incurred on the interior window frames during the process. I was expecting a little less wood and wall damage than what happened with some of the windows. This could be due to my inexperience with window replacement projects, but some of the frames will require wood repair in addition to painting to get them back to what it was. Not a large job but still more than expected. Overall, I would hire Rite Window again. I found them honest and competent.
Response from Rite Window of Boston
"Thank you for your kind review. We apologize for the wood damage. Despite attempts to take care, even the most experience installer runs the risk of damage because they need to remove portions of trim and reused them, and sometimes the trim puts up a fight. There is no good excuse, but please know when replacing a window, it's a legitimate one...Thank you again for your understanding, your review, and for choosing Rite Window."

Couldn't say more good things about Rite Window. I had six windows and a patio door replaced at my townhouse condo. Rite Window was great with getting the necessary forms to the HOA and working within the style that the HOA wanted. The initial salesman, Marco, was fantastic and in constant contact throughout the process. The installers, Peter, Josh, and Nick, were professional, punctual, friendly, and did a great job installing the windows, and they did it all in about six or seven hours. Very pleased with the quality of the windows, the price, and the overall experience. If you're in need of new windows, give Rite Window a call.

"Thank you sir for your kind review! We showed it to Marco and your crew and they' appreciated your recognition very much. We're very glad both you and your HOA are happy with the results. Thank you for your recommendation, and thank you for choosing Rite Window"

That was a long distance from them. It was at least a 3 hour drive for them and they came right out and replaced it. No questions asked. They came right out and boom-boom fixed it. It's perfect. The cost was zero. They stood behind their product, in other words, and their installation by doing that. What's better than zero? The quality was good. I think it's sufficient. Some people may argue with me, but I can't see any difference. They replaced it and they didn't give me a hard time. They didn't say, "you did this, you opened it wrong" or that kind of stuff.

I wan to say the cost was $300 a window. They were good. They came out; I had a problem with one of the windows and they came out almost three or four years after, fixed it right away. They just replaced it.?No questions asked. No "what did you do to the window" that kind of thing. They fixed it right away at no charge. I can't use them anymore. They don't come out this far. It's pretty far out. I no longer can use them at this address, but I can at others. Two people came out to complete the work and they were good. They were outside and I didn't have much contact with them, but they were good. They left the area clean, perfect - not a drop.?

"Thank you Ms. [Member Name Removed]! We promote our "lifetime warranty" because it's easy to say and to understand, but it's kind of silly, because "how long is a lifetime?"...What we really have is a "promise" to our customer that if something goes wrong we'll come back and try to fix it; whether it's 1 week or 20 years down the road. We figure if we keep all our promises we'll be around longer than a "lifetime" ;) ... Again, thank you for your kind review and for choosing Rite Window."

The man who gave me the quote was friendly and helpful, explaining the different window options to me. The ordering process was easy and although it took 9 weeks before they were able to do the installation, the installation team did a nice job and even put up with my nosey dog. I would use them again.
Response from Rite Window of Boston
"Thank you for your kind review! We apologize for the 9 weeks. In the window business the busiest time of year is late fall. It's like working at McDonald's when 3 bus loads of high school kids pull into the parking lot! ;) We really appreciate your patience and understanding....And we loved your dog!!! He wasn't nosey, he was just happy to see us and wanted to help ;) Thanks again for your review, and thank you for choosing Rite Window."

About half the price of other quotes with no high pressure sales tactics. Scheduling measurements and installation was a breeze. Like that there is a lifetime warranty on the windows.

Our neighbors used Rite Window and had good results, so we chose them to replace our 40 year-old windows. Their office did a nice job communicating the installation schedule and confirming all the details. We were impressed with Phil, the lead technician who did the work. He and his partner were friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They did a good job with installing the new windows and did a complete clean-up after. Overall we had a good experience with Rite Window.

It was almost perfect. They measured one of my bedroom windows incorrectly twice. I wasn't happy and I wish they would have at least called to apologize since I had two dogs and boarded them for the days they were coming.

There was just one grate that goes inside of a window to make it a special design and they never came back and did it. All windows in the house were done very well, installed well and it worked well. it's just that one little thing that bothered me. They're very good. I will use them again because of the quality of the work.

I'm hard-pressed to remember a more pleasant experience with a home contractor. We'd contacted Rite Window in 2015 for an estimate of work that we decided not to pursue. The presentation at that time was most professional and not high-pressure at all. When contemplating window work this year, our first (and only) call was to Rite Window. From initial consultation/estimate through final installation, services rendered were absolutely outstanding. Scheduling the work was a breeze and the installation team showed up as expected and completed the professional replacement of all 8 windows in fewer than 6 hours!
Response from Rite Window of Boston
"Thank you for your review and your kindness. What you described is the way we want to do business. We understand that replacing every window is a big project; it requires a lot of thought and people need time to decide what's best. The worst thing any company can do is make the decision more difficult by adding sales pressure. We try to treat people the same way we'd hope to be treated if we were the one doing the buying. It's a concept that's been around forever and it's called the "Golden Rule", yet surprisingly many companies don't practice it as a rule ;) ...Thank you again."

Installation went well. Dave and Carl were wonderful! They worked hard, installed windows, kept me informed of progress and cleaned up after work was done. I would definitely hire them again. I think they need a raise in pay!

The windows were replaced in one day.  We had to make sure space around the windows was accessible (on the inside of the house), which means we took down the curtains and moved a few nightstands.  Other than they, Rite Windows did everything else.  They replaced the windows, took the old ones away, and did not leave any mess behind.

Firstly, this place is not particularly cheap. I only discovered later I could have gone with a higher quality pella window for less money.

the installer showed up on time and was polite. He mostly did a good job. two things that I didn't notice until after he left were that the handle in the bathroom is supposed to be resting on the sill, but he put it about a quarter inch above it (it looks weird). And one of the windows he did not replace the bottom sill even though that was part of the contract deal (and it's rotted). Since I am getting the house re-sided, I am just going to have the siding people replace it, but that's a bit more $$ out of my pocket.

Overall, relatively happy/ok, but when I do my other 20 windows I will be going elsewhere I think.
Response from Rite Window of Boston
"Thank you for the "B" grade. You could have easily given us a worse grade for forgetting to replace the sill, so we truly appreciate your kindness with your grade. We'd never accept a customer's money for services not performed, so when we saw your review we mailed you a check to refund the sill replacement cost. Please let us know if you did not receive it. We sincerely apologize... One thing if you don't mind; we agree Pella windows are a fine brand, but they produce a wide range of windows of differing quality and price. The Pella window sold at Lowes is slightly less expensive than ours, but it also has fewer features and not as good a U-Factor insulation rating or air infiltration rating as the window we installed at your house. Yet if you compare their window that has the exact same specs as ours we win on price by a noticeable amount. Problem is, doing a direct "apples to apples" comparison of windows is not easy for the consumer, so we often need to fight the perception that every Pella window is better simply because it has a Pella label, but such is life in the window business ;) Regardless, please know that the windows we installed in your house are of high quality, not the cheapest, but an excellent value because of the balance of quality vs price...and we stand behind this statement with a rock solid warranty... We'll get "off our soap box" now (wink)... Again, our apologies for dropping the ball on the "sill", thank you for your kind grade, and thank you for choosing Rite Window."
