He was punctual, had great communication, was clear and up-front about everything. His experience reflected in his work. He is meticulous but efficient. He clearly takes pride in his work. Probably the most bind-boggling thing is that he does the vast majority of the work himself and by himself. He knows the building codes in and out, which made getting permits approved as smooth as it gets in a county that is notorious for being difficult to build in. "I once joked to a friend in response to his 'since you are so happy with his work, I may hire him too', I told him, 'you don't choose Vinnie, Vinnie chooses you! Vinnie does the work as if it is his own project. Completely focused, attentive to the details. I liked most of this wor ethic. His quote was one of the most competitive. We interviewed about six different builders all with good ratings from friends or Angie's list. People he works with, electrician, plumber, HVAC were all very professional. Timely. Vinnie came up with this kitchen breakfast bar/island concept. He built it without much of an additional charge to the original quote. Gave us the address from where we could buy a quartz top. That breakfast bar became the central piece of the basement. There was a plain big wall on one side of the basement. Vinne came up with a cost-effective way to turn it into a brick-looking wall perfectly matching brick tiles in the kitchen. He put the kitchen brick tiles in one afternoon, without asking extra on top of the quote. Vinnie guided how best to get custom kitchen cabinets suitable for a basement. He installed the cabinets himself. He had put the crown of the cabinet twice to match two pieces of the crown in color, he did not ask for extra. He helped us choose the best option for flooring for humidity and told us where to find the most cost-effective flooring. He only charged us for putting the flooring down. All this gave us confidence that what he is charging us reasonable, he was not charging us extra on top of the material cost to him since we were buying the material ourselves after making sure that the price/quality was suitable for the project."

"Rich's approach on engaging our project is how a general contractor should function in the 21st century. Total price transparency, line item granularity, timeliness and honesty about possible complications. We wanted to remodel our kitchen and as part of that we needed a wall to be partially removed and plastered, leaving enough height for a countertop. Rich stopped by, evaluated our intention, provided honest feedback on possible complications, suggested ways to save money and then sent us a very detailed quote for each component of the work. This enabled us to pick and choose exactly what we wanted to get done at the price point that we had budgeted for. During the work, some parts turned out to be more complicated than initially estimated, however Rich was generous enough to just take care of it and even throw in an in-wall shelf removal and plastering. The quality of work was outstanding, as well as the timing of scheduling and arrival. He even offered to leave the bagster bag for longer in case we had extra debris from our project once his work was done. All in all, we were left with a great impression of the work done and would not hesitate to contact him again for any future work."
