Chris Brusa renovated my master bathroom and did and outstanding job. He helped us realize we could do what we wanted without changing the floor plan. He was very easy to work with.

Overall, the work was done brilliantly. He was very helpful picking out paint colors and flooring that look splendid for the basement. Work was done in a timely and meticulous fashion. I would pick him again if I have another remodeling project in the future.

This is the 8th job we have hired Chris Brusa Home Improvement for. Previously, he has worked on 3 bathrooms, a backyard deck, a TV room, laundry room, downstairs remodel, kitchen partial re-model, stair hand railing, and more. Chris is friendly and pleasant to work with, open to our ideas, and has good taste. For every project, he and his associates have been on time for appointments, worked with us around our schedule, helped pick up materials from suppliers, accurate in his time estimates for job completion, cleans up at the end of each day, and completes the jobs in a reasonable time period. Chris is the best of the best and a consummate professional. He has helped make our dated 1970's house into a beautiful, modern home. I highly recommend him and his company.

We hired Chris to completely remodel our 4-season TV room/sunroom. And by remodel, that room was a complete gut-job. He put in new hardwood floors, new dry-wall, new ceilings, fixed our skylights, fixed the electricity, installed recessed lighting, painted everything the colors we chose, and more. He did a wonderful job, and it is now the best looking room in the hours. Chris and his team arrived on time, cleaned up after each day, communicated well, guided us in making choices of walls, floors, and ceilings, and his is a consummate professional. The result was way beyond our expectations, and we would definitely hire him again for our future projects.

We hired Chris and his team to remodel the hand railing that separates the lower level from the upper level of our split-level home. Chris fit us into his schedule within a reasonable time period. The old railing was built in the 1970's and was outdated. In 2 days, he constructed a modern looking that fit the style of our house. It completely updates the look of the rooms. It looks great, and we have received several compliments on the end result. This is the 5th job we have hired Chris Brusa for, and I highly recommend him to all.

Our old deck from the 1970's was falling apart and needed immediate attention. We had hired Chris Brusa for past projects, and we liked how he showed up on time, communicated well with us, cleaned up at the end of each day, guided us through our options, and was a pleasure to work with. He was able to fit us into his schedule, and in 2 days, he and his crew were able to tear down the old deck and replace it with a new one, including all new lumber, railings, stairs, and solar lights on the posts (which look great at night). He took a sorry-looking deck and turned it into a beautiful, safe, and well-constructed one. I recommend Chris Brusa highly!

Chris does fantastic work. This was our third major project that Chris completed for us in the last 2 years. He gutted our dated hallway bathroom in 2019, did a complete renovation of our kitchen in 2020 and just this month rebuilt our back deck. Chris and his crew are the real deal. He is fast and meticulous and once he’s on the job he’s 100% focused on getting things done right, on time and on budget. He offers great design suggestions and works within our budget. He’s also economical and will reuse materials where he can to save a few bucks. The best part? He’s very reasonably priced. When he quoted our bathroom, he was 50%(!!) less expensive than the other contractors.

Perfect! We needed a complete bathroom renovation. We’re so thankful to have found Chris and his side kick Dave! They made this stressful situation more calming. I felt completely comfortable with them around. He is honest, respectful, very neat, and most importantly prompt! His daily expectations were fulfilled and he finished exactly when he said he would. It went great. I can only add to what other reviewers have said about Chris Brusa: he is a nice guy, and has great taste. He finished ahead of schedule and charged a very reasonable price. The crew was good about cleaning up after themselves. The finished project is gorgeous, for many thousands less than others are charging.

Chris is a great communicator and very approachable as we were going over designs and ideas for the bathroom. He let us know the quote and time frame and stuck to it. But most of he and his crew worked had and were on time with fantastic results. We have a few more projects we'd like Chris and his team to do because we have confidence it will be at a reasonable price, done on time, and with great results.

I say bathroom remodels in the description slot because Chris has done all three bathrooms in our condo. We loved working with Chris. Not only is he very talented and his work top notch, he is also a great communicator offering excellent suggestions when talking about design. He understood the look we were after and definitely delivered beyond our expectations. We were amazed at how efficient he and his assistant were too. These bathrooms were totally remodeled with lots of tile work on top of everything else. Each one was finished within a week. They were very considerate of their environment too, always cleaning up after themselves before they left for the day. I highly recommend Chris for any project you might have in your home. Offering fair pricing, he is a master at his craft with a refreshing honesty and can do attitude. That’s a winning combination!

Working with Chris was an absolute joy. He discussed and worked with us, as we had many questions and he never got irritated. He is quick, thorough, and detailed. All in all we would definitely work with him again.

Overall Rating is an A+++. Project came out significantly better than we could have wished for. Chris Brusa , owner of Brusa Home Improvement was phenomenal, both as a contractor and as a person. We had a soaking tub and small shower stall removed. Chris created a linen closet where the shower was, installed a new 60" X 36" walk-in shower, porcelain wall and floor tiles, niche's, accent tiling, grab bar and exhaust fan. We purchased most of the materials since we wanted some very specific colors and materials. Of course there were a few challenges - like the pocket door became unattached and the accent tile was not your standard mesh-backed tile. We also added custom shelves in the niche's as well as installing a new exhaust fan in the second bath with insulated ducting and new external vents. Amazing how scope creep can happen. Chris took it all in stride. Chris managed and scheduled the work and the few subcontractors (i.e. plasterer and plumber). All were high quality craftsmen and genuinely nice people. Very accommodating. His fees were very competitive but we found that initial scheduling with contractors will require a wait. One that we found to be very much worth it. No only would we hire Chris again, we will recommend him and his subcontractors to anyone needing their services.

Chris and Dave were excellent. On time responsive and trustworthy! Chris is one of a kind! Hard working and detail oriented. I highly recommend him and his team! I will be using them for future projects to come.

Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our old bathroom had seen better days. Locating Chris was something that made this whole bathroom renovation project a breeze. I echo everything that a previous reviewer (in November) stated. There were zero issues working with Chris and his team. Chris also has excellent taste with colour and lighting. The bathroom has a very relaxed and calming 'feel' about it now, thanks primarily, to Chris' colour combinations. He took the bathroom right back to the studs, leveled the floor, before rebuilding it. The team always took care of our home, cleaned up at the end of every working day, and Chris & I went over any outstanding issues and decisions to be made (if any) at the end of every working day. I will most definitely be using Chris for future home updates.

Chris was responsive. We were able to work out a schedule that worked for both of us. He and his assistant Anthony were courteous and polite and the project came out great.

Chris did an outstanding job remodeling our bathroom. It was an old, small bathroom last remodeled in the late 1970's and in much need of updating and repair. He first gutted the old bathroom down to the studs, removed an old shower stall, removed the toilet, vanity, and mirror, and floor tiles. He re-built the room in a just two weeks, from start to finish. Chris went shopping with me to several local stores and helped me pick out paint colors, the vanity, the new floor tiles, and more. His taste is excellent. He recreated the shower by installing beautiful white tiles with a nice colored strip horizontally across the middle. The result was a very high end, clean, stylish look - the nicest bathroom I had seen, similar to the type you'd see in 5 star hotels. Throughout the whole process, he was great at communicating and quick at responding to our questions. He and his associates were true professionals - very friendly and committed to doing a great job. And the project was stress-free on our end. His work exceeded our expectations and we are impressed and pleased with the end result. We would highly recommend Chris to other potential customers, and we hope to hire him and his company for future projects.

One of my exterior doors could not be opened at all, and the other one was dragging on the door sill and was very difficult to close. I had been told by someone that I had described the problems to over the phone that the doors might need to be replaced. This is a small job and one for which it can be very difficult to find a competent handyman. Chris fixed the door that could not be opened within the first five minutes of his visit. For the dragging door, Chris started with the simplest approach to the fix, and then proceeded to add more involved approaches as needed. He charged me a very reasonable fee, and told me I could call him again in the future for similar work and larger repairs. Thank you, Chris!

The short story: Chris is nothing short of great, and I would recommend him with my highest 5-star rating to anyone. The color commentary: I found Chris on Angie’s list a year ago and had him do a few minor jobs while preparing to put my house on the market. I was pleased with the quality of work and his flexibility and professionalism, so I asked him to do bigger jobs when I moved to a townhouse. He has just completed a kitchen renovation, a master bath tub/tile/glass door installation, a complete redo of a half bath, and a million other things along the way. A plumber I brought in for a different job commented on the high quality of the carpentry work Chris did installing my cabinets. They are perfect. Chris stayed dedicated to this job from start to end (a couple of weeks), and did not spread it out to work on other jobs in between. The quality is top notch. He has great aesthetic sense and offers opinions when asked. And, he is a pleasure to work with! He’s flexible, accommodating and has a great sense of humor, which goes a long ways when you’re underway with a major project. I will use him again whenever I have a project, and am enthusiastically recommending him to my friends.

We discussed our project with Chris, but have not done the work yet. He was punctual, gave us great ideas, was honest and forthcoming about the projects details and cost, and a pleasure to talk to.
