"I had an issue with a bathroom fixture that would not work due to no electricity flowing to it. Joe had to trouble shoot my entire house to identify the problem. It took quite a while but he got to the bottom of it and we finally have light in that bathroom. Joe was great! He was timely in arriving and was very professional. During the entire process he was very patient and certainly knew how to proceed. The bottom line is Joe had to correct a previous electrician's error. He also installed some new receptacles where needed. He cleaned all work areas when he finished. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for an electrician."

"Top notch. Paul did a great job installing an EV charger in my garage. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He provided me a competitive estimate for the job but I was amazed when he actually charged me less because he said it took him less time then he had originally planned to complete the work. I highly recommend Paul"

"The Upwire crew did an excellent job installing a couple of different light fixtures in my kitchen. This was my third experience with Jim's team over the years and each time I am very impressed - the work is top notch, performed at the time promised and fairly priced, the site is left impeccably finished and clean. I would not use anyone else."

"Eric installed EV charger outlet (14/50 NEMA) and a hardwired EV charger (Tesla Wall connector) in two homes. He did a great job, was professional, and reasonably priced, I will continue working with him in the future and would recommend him!"

Customers say: True professional

"CH Electric was extremely helpful in my kitchen renovation. The project required coordination between trades and a time sensitive schedule. CH Electric started the project by making safe the space for demo. They then completed the rough in for new lighting and switching. They were extremely responsive and professional through out the process. The work turned out great and I am extremely happy with the finished product. I will be using CH Electric for my future projects."

This is the best look at the new 200amp Service installed at the property. We were able to work with National Grid to insure the proper sized drop was installed free of cost, and that the point of attachment could be moved so not to interfere with the siding contractor

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

The cost of installing a 240-volt outlet for an electric car averages between $175 and $300. Depending on the type of outlet as well as labor costs, you might pay as little as $130 or upwards of $400. Hiring a professional electrician makes up the bulk of the expense but ensures a safe and code-compliant installation.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.
