For the past fifteen years we have been providing quality siding, doors and windows installation in NH and MA. We carry all the necessary licenses and insurances so you can feel comfortable and confident that the project will be completed in compliance with local laws and requirements. We have two window crews and one siding crew, and all our employees passed background checks and drug tests for your safety and piece of mind. We work with the best brands in the industry and will be able to customize any project to your specific needs. All the estimates are completed by the business owner.
"The work was done 2 months ago, so I feel comfortable with not only describing how I perceived the work was done, but also better judge the quality of the delivered product. The team worked diligently and thoughtfully. They had the attention to detail and made sure that the most critical aspect of the work is paid attention to: protection from water on the outside - also of the trims. That work was done with great care. Insulation was well placed, the windows very well leveled out. They close perfectly. One window was initially not perfectly closing, although very well leveled out. The company followed up immediately, came back and fixed this issue: one side of the window had a bit too much insulation between frame and wall. This slightly curved the right side of the window frame. They removed some of that insulation and the problem was solved. All team members very friendly and took the time to answer my questions and explain things. This work was done and to the standards I'm mostly used to from living in Germany. I'm glad whenever I see this kind of quality. Custom Projects is one of the companies I highly recommend."

Hi there! Thanks for looking! Given our highly competitive cost structure, and due to our high demand, we are sorry that we now need to set our minimum quote at $750, so create that punch list! Please email only (please no calls as we are focused on working) with details of your needs to the email address below and I will reply promptly! I have 3 extremely experienced and versatile crews on the road, we are fully covered by workers comp. and liability insurance, we are a registered Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) in MA, and we take pride in, and guarantee, all our work! Mark's Home Improvement and Handyman is also a top 5 star ranked company, nationally, on Thumbtack.com where you will find countless unedited reviews of our past performance. We are not someone with a pickup truck and a hammer, we are multifaceted, highly-skilled, dedicated professionals equipped with state-of-the-art cordless tools, usually everything we need, and in uniform so you know who we are. We commit to a task until completion, we do not leave one job unfinished while we start another. Although establishing ongoing relationships with our residential customers is our primary focus, corporate, estate and condo complex property management is a specialty. We are skilled finish carpenters and mulit-tradesmen overall and have complete woodshops. We design and build custom furniture and built ins, all the way to decks. We install and repair roofs and soffits, have a custom seamless gutter forming machine, walls, doors, windows, floors and framing and we repair ANY type of wood rot. We do electrical work and most plumbing, including PEX and PVC, minor to major kitchen and bathroom work, tiling, drop ceilings, hardwood and floating floors, complete stair systems and partial to complete renovations and remodeling including attics and basements. Care to add a full bathroom in your basement? No problem! We love to work on many needs in the same house. We do metal fabrication and welding, install chimney caps, install TV's (onto brick included), and do fence, masonry and stone work, on and on! Whew! We are VERY VERSATILE, METICULOUS, PROMPT AND CLEAN! If we sound interesting, PLEASE CONTACT ME! YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID! GUARANTEED! Thank you again for looking, and I sure do hope to hear from you!Mark.
"For initial appointment to show him the work, he did not show up. He apologized and rescheduled, and was very responsive after, by both phone and text. He's a pleasant man who has a lot of folks working for him. Overall he was fair: provided receipts for all materials purchases and charged exact materials costs, and charged for labor at a daily rate (units of whole days) for the work. Where he saw various options (at a variety of levels of quality and/or cost) he brought them up and discussed them to make sure that we were moving forward as I preferred. When I had questions about the quality of a piece of work he was happy to discuss and have it corrected. All debris from the job was left on-site, and he offered to remove for the split cost of a dumpster at an extra fee - be sure to discuss this in advance. When there was debris left in the garage from the work, his guys used our lawn bags to pack it away instead of either bringing their own trash bags or asking for some. Communication could have been a bit improved between his workers and us as the job was completed: discussing the trash and debris management, letting us know when work was done and they were leaving for the day (especially when I was on-site specifically during the work, only to realize they'd left and never let me know). I suggest customers be proactive re: communication, but he's very affordable if you are project managing your own job."

"Impossible to get a hold of. Poor installation - didn't even clean the sticky stuff from their mirrors. Argumentative when trying to get a new mirror after it was found that one was scratched during installation and broke our towel holder during install and then tried to hide it."

It’s usually better to repair damaged interior doors and replace damaged exterior doors, but it depends on the type and extent of the damage. Damage to interior doors won’t threaten your home’s security, so if a repair or partial replacement of only the door (not replacing the door frame) is possible, that route should save you some money. Damage to an exterior door can compromise your home’s security, so it’s often better to replace it entirely, especially if there’s frame damage. You can ask your door installer which course of action is best for your situation.
The average cost to install a door is around $1,100, but you could pay anywhere from $150 for a hollow-core interior door installation up to $2,000 or a high-end exterior door installation. There are a few cost factors to consider to get an accurate price, including whether your wall opening exists, the type of door, the quality and security of the door, whether you need to replace the frame, and the door size. You can expect to pay $150 to $700 for a standard 36-by-80-inch door and between $400 and $1,600 for an 80-by-48-inch door.
If you’re replacing an interior door, it’s best to get the work done in the summer or winter, as door installation professionals are the least busy during these seasons and might charge lower labor costs based on the decreased demand. You can also potentially save money by hiring a professional to install your exterior door during these seasons, but most homeowners wait until the spring or fall so that the extreme temperatures don’t put added strain on their HVAC systems while the door is being added or replaced.
Door installation usually takes three and four hours, including removing the old door and frame, fitting the new door and frame in place, shimming it to make sure it’s perfectly level, and making adjustments to the hinges and locking mechanisms to ensure proper functionality. A door-hanging professional can replace an interior door in between one and two hours. Door installation will take significantly longer if your installer needs to create a wall opening, and it can take less time if the existing door frame remains.
It’s possible to install a door yourself if the wall opening already exists, but the work is rather complicated, and a professional installation is usually well worth the investment. For your door to work and close properly, you’ll need to shim and level the door frame in your wall perfectly, which can be difficult. Additionally, we recommend you always hire a professional door installer to place an exterior door, as mistakes during the installation process can lead to poor security for your home.
