"I signed up for a groupon special for small siding repairs. He came out, inspected the broken siding, and took a sample to best match it. A couple days later he found an almost dead on match.
He replaced the siding and it looked great.  There were some issues with a corner piece, and he went out of his way to go back to the warehouse to get the right equipment to get the job done.
Even with the additional work, he honored the groupon pricing!

"He is very good at sheet rock and I have not had any problems with any of his work. He put on a metal roof on my shed and has done roofing repairs in the past as well. I would highly recommend him as he is very dependable. He stays in contact with you and is true to his word. He is very neat, professional, and cleans everything up beautifully. The short answer is yes, a sagging plaster ceiling is dangerous. Sagging plaster on a wall is something you should fix immediately, but it isn’t a major concern. If the same type of sagging occurs on a ceiling, however, you could be in danger of your ceiling falling in large chunks. When plaster sags, it loses its strength and ability to hold itself up. The bonds that hold it together are strong, though, so if a sagging area falls, it will take large pieces down with it.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.

Drying alone can take 1 to 4 hours to dry to the touch per plaster layer, but some types of plaster take several hours longer to dry.
