This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. "🚫 Do NOT use All My Sons Moving & Storage (Baton Rouge) 🚫 I hired them for my move on June 27, 2025. It was an absolute disaster. They promised 3 professional movers — only 2 showed up. They were 4 HOURS late with no call, no warning, and I had to help carry and disassemble my own furniture just to keep the move going. They charged me over $1,400 for 6 hours of work, and all they managed to move was a small list of items — a couch, loveseat, chair, 2 TVs, 2 beds, dresser, nightstand, washer/dryer, tool box, generator, and 2 grills. That’s it. They damaged my brand-new refrigerator and then LEFT IT IN THE GARAGE because they “didn’t know how to get it through the door.” They never packed the kitchen as promised. Worst of all, they demanded payment before unloading anything — a policy they never disclosed. Their manager, Jared Fay, made excuses and lied about the pricing. No accountability. No professionalism. I strongly recommend staying far away from this company. You’ll pay top dollar to do half the work yourself and clean up after them."

Yes, moving a piano often causes it to become out of tune, even if you're not moving the piano very far. One reason is that any temperature and humidity changes can affect a piano's tuning. Additionally, the bumps and jolts from a moving truck usually push a piano out of tune. 

However, don't jump right to tuning it once the piano gets to your new home. Instead, it's best to wait at least two weeks for the instrument to acclimate to its new environment. After a couple weeks, you'll get an idea of what the piano will really sound like in its new home, at which point you can call a piano technician to get it properly tuned.

In most cases, you don’t need to order food for movers. They will schedule breaks to eat throughout the day. However, you can provide drinks and snacks in an easy-to-access location for the movers to grab throughout the day.

Old pianos can be hard to sell for a few reasons. Pianos fifty years or older may only sell for several hundred dollars and will often cost more to transport to the new owners. Restoring a piano also costs well into the thousands, making it pretty hard to make your money back. In most cases, donating or recycling the parts of a piano is more cost-efficient and beneficial in the long run.

It’s not required. Some treadmills aren’t designed for dismantling, so you’ll need to move in one piece. Others can be quickly disassembled and reassembled, so taking them apart is a great way to save on space and make the move easier. Consult your treadmill’s user manual for more information and to find the best option.
