George's Moving Load/Unload

George was always on time and very professional. Our items arrived undamaged and are now safely in our storage building awaiting the building of our new home. George moved us from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Hammond, Louisiana. I would highly recommend him for your move. I wouldn't use anyone else!

The two guys knew what to do, worked quickly, and protected the furniture from bumps and bangs.

They showed up on time. They changed their minimum to 2 hours down from 3 since it was a 'small', easy move. They were fast, efficient and knew what they were doing. Packed the truck well and protected the furniture for a long distance move.

George's Moving did an amazing job with our office move!  We were extremely happy with the service they provided.  They arrived on time, worked hard and were extremely professional throughout the entire day.  We had a lot of heavy desks, credenzas and bookshelves and they were able to move all of it without any damage or issues.  We had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend these movers!

They charged a whole lot. Overall the move went well. They brought a bigger truck than we expected and had extra guys working to make sure it all went down on time.  We appreciated that a lot. We had one issue with some damage that got done to the mattress but they paid for a mattress cover to take care of that. I was happy with how they worked. The movers were not paid very well, I know, because I asked them when I was giving them a tip at the end. The movers worked really hard.  Our house was far out in the middle of nowhere, the roads are really nasty, and they navigated the roads really well. They were one of the few moving companies that were willing to come out and work that far out. That really helped.

They were fantastic and very efficient!! They were very worred about protecting my belongings.

George called me right after I left him a message and was very friendly on the phone. I told him exactly what had to be moved and asked if he would be coming over to take a look at the contents of the apartment. He said it wouldn't be necessary. He gave me a price based on two movers and we set a date. 
Two days before the move, I checked in with George and again went over what I had to move. This time he said that I would need three, not two people and that there would be an extra charge, but he would also show up to help. Although he felt he was giving me a deal, the point is that what he said at the time we first talked contradicted what he finally decided was the necessary requirement for men and truck size. The move cost me more than I had budgeted and this could have been avoided if he had come to the space after the first time we talked.
Moving day came and the van (a U-Haul) and crew arrived twenty minutes late--no phone call letting me know that they were running late, which I find unprofessional.
The move took much longer than expected, and one of the men seemed to be clearly inebriated or on drugs by the end of the move: he dropped things and seems completely disorientated when I spoke with him. In addition, several pieces of furniture were scratched and there was a huge brown stain on the bed, which George claimed couldn't have possibly happened during the move, which was completely insulting, since I knew the condition of my bed before the move. 
One of the movers was excellent, and if I would feel comfortable hiring him the next time I move, if I had his full name.
All in all it was a crappy experience. I've moved quite a bit in my life, and I would have to say that this was the most unsatisfactory experience I have had. I hired George because of the excellent Angie's list reviews. Perhaps it was an off day for him and his crew, but I'm wondering now about the validity of the Angie's list reviews.

George showed up and introduced the movers and himself. Very friendly and professional, all of them! They worked very quickly, hustling, and finished unloading the truck in 2.5 hours, moving pieces carefully and helping to relocate boxes and furniture as needed.

They were on time, very nice and careful with the furniture. Everything went perfect.

We had a very positive experience.  KC and the guys who worked with him were careful, flexible, friendly, and professional.

The group was very efficient, responsive, and professional.  All of George's employees were friendly, competent, and hard-working.   His pricing was extremely fair & was lower than other companies I checked.  There were a few items broken, but fortunately they were not valuable.  Being a single lady with no other help, I am thankful for the hard work the group put into this stressful situation.

We were very happy with them.  They stuck to the budget, and they delivered everything we asked without any damage.  They completed their job in the one-day time period.  The only comment I would say that needs improvement is that they needed a little bit more preparation as far as having enough supplies and tools.

Great the two gentlemen they sent were professional,personable and safety conscience. Will use again when we move.

Carried out very well. Workers were about 15 minutes late, but they did everything I asked and even accommodated an extra request that required additional travel.  Was very pleased with professionalism and quality of job. Would definitely recommend and use again.

They were punctual and polite but did not listen to me. I asked them not to put boxes on top of my antiques but they did anyway and told me that they knew what they were doing.  I have damaged things and there was just no reason for it. There was PLENTY of room in the container. I asked them not to stack boxes so high but my pleas were unanswered.

George arrived on time to give an estimate.  He was very thorough in assessing the amount of goods that needed to be moved.  They offered a set price or an hourly rate.  We chose the set price.  They provided free boxes for the items we wished to pack and move ourselves.  On moving day, nine people arrived on time and began packing and loading immediately.  They did have to go out to obtain additional packing materials but this did not slow down the process.  Once the loading was completed, we all drove over to the new house and unloading began immediately.  They got the entire job done within 8 hours and nothing was broken.  My only complaint was that, with so many people bringing things into the house, I was not able to tell them where I wanted everything, to many things were just put into the garage for me to find later.
This is a very kind, caring and professional outfit that I would highly recommend to anyone.

To save money and time, I unloaded the first, easier half of a 16-food PODS unit myself, then called George's Moving to finish the job. Anthony and Alvin arrived on time and were friendly and efficient. They took the heavy furniture where it needed to go, most of which was upstairs. They even put the legs on my dining table and attached a heavy mirror to the dresser, post-moving tasks I'm usually left to do myself. They were finished in about 45 minutes. Their price was so reasonable I thought maybe I had misunderstood the initial estimate (about half or less of what it would have cost in the Chicago suburbs where I just moved from).

Great, all things taken down or apart were put back together, with care.  Everything arrived safe, no major damage, and we laughed most the day!

The movers supplied were on time, courteous, efficient, and careful.
