Bottom Line: My house went from being a wreck to showroom clean in two days, and I couldn't have done it without these guys. I couldn't find dust or dirt on anything when they left. Every messy or unorganized area I had was tidied up. I became aware of a gas leak under the house because I could smell it outside on the west side of the house. The plumber I used last year was called early, but did not arrive until the end of the day. They detected the leak at the end of the work day, turned off the gas and said they would be back the next morning, and so I had no heat or hot water over a very cold night.
This year I smelled gas again on the west side of the house. I called my usual plumber. They could not come to my house that day. They could not guarantee a morning appointment the next day. I did not want a repeat of the previous year's scenario, so I checked Angie's list for other potentially acceptable plumbers that work with natural gas.
I called All Plumbing. They were able to send someone that morning. They were also able to able to provide cost estimates ahead of time for pressure testing my gas pipes should I opt for that. Their plumber was very thorough in getting the layout of gas appliances in my home. He was careful to not track dirt and mud into my home. He carefully checked the connections under my house for leaks. He told me what he was doing and why he was doing it.
We mutually agreed that the more expensive pressure test was not necessary and determined that the smell was coming from a leak next door even though the smell was frequently concentrated right by my house. We mutually agreed that a call to ATMOS was the next appropriate step. Yes, I paid for 2 hrs of labor to find out I had no leak, but i had confidence in the outcome, which is unusual for most of these types of service calls - rarely do the service professionals care to keep you informed every step along the way.
The final price paid is for 2 hrs labor minus 10% Angie's list coupon.

I'd like to thank Angie's List for saving me $5000. Leland Hamm and his crew of two additional workers installed several underpins. I don't remember the exact number, but it was around 10. They dug the initial holes by hand which means you will not have a backhoe in your yard digging huge holes and tearing up the yard. These holes were about 2' by 2' and 4' deep. They then come back with an auger and drill a round hole about 8 feet into the bottom of the original hole. This is all filled with concrete and re-bar to create your supports for the foundation. I watched them as the foundation was slowly being lifted into place and they really know what they are doing. They constantly stopped and monitored both the inside sheetrock and the cracks in the brick to be sure that all was going as expected. They removed all the waste dirt and even spread some of the better dirt in a couple of low spots that we have in our yard, but 95% of the dirt was clay and unusable. I have since contracted a stump grinder to remove the stump and it looks like my wife and I will have to clean and level the yard ourselves before the stump grinder comes so he can see the roots of the stump; my wife has back problems and is disabled; I have heart problems, but we can work slowly in the morning hours over several days and, Lord willing, get our yard back. The kinds of items or materials accepted will vary by hauling company. Some companies will not handle hazardous waste, but hiring ones that do will cost from $5 to $100 or more, depending on what type and quantity of material.
Most companies will haul items such as:
Construction and remodeling waste: $100–$600
Appliances: $50–$600
Furniture: $50–$400
Electronics: $60–$200
Yard waste: $70–$500
Unfortunately, some plumbing scenarios, like a broken sewer pipe repair, will require excavation to complete the job. Plumbing excavation costs range from $30 to $70per cubic foot. However, if you need additional trenching, expect to pay an extra $4 to $12per linear foot. Keep in mind that these costs are on top of the plumbing repair costs, and they don’t account for labor costs. Consult your excavation specialist to determine an accurate estimate for your job.
The cost to hire a professional junk hauling service ranges from $60 to $600, averaging about $270. Your final price is determined by the type of junk, amount of junk, the distance to the dumpsite, and the equipment required to move and haul your items or materials. Keep in mind that construction junk removal is more expensive than hauling household items, so expect to pay $800 for removing large piles of debris.
The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.
When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
The cost for residential excavation is $3,200 on average, ranging between $50 and $200per cubic yard. Total costs could range from $500 to $15,000, depending on the project type, yard size, and soil type.
When a project needs an excavator, the contractor will subcontract one as part of the larger project. If you hire an excavation specialist, you can expect to pay between $40 and $180per hour. When excavating, if you have soil with excessive rocks or clay deposits, expect an additional cost of $200 to $1,200.
