"Whenever I messaged him and told him what our refrigerator was doing, he told me that it sounds like the evaporator fan was going out. I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday evening, but he had to reschedule for Thursday morning which was no problem. He gets here and checks out the refrigerator and starts removing the inside panel to access the evaporator fan. It was not turning and when he was explaining everything to me, he tapped the fan and it started turning. He turned the refrigerator off and unplugged it, took the evaporator fan apart and cleaned it. Our problem was a simple fix by cleaning the magnet in the fan, and he didn't try to push for me to purchase a new part. If I had questions, he answered them. Very polite, professional and very affordable. I highly recommend him."

"Did leave me a list of things the chimney needed, around $1000 worth. When I called another company to do the cap, I did not mention what was needed, and that installer said everything was fine. I don't know if Fireplace Doctor was extra vigilant or if they were looking for work. Overall, what I had them do was done timely and at the agreed price.

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

While wood stove fans are effective for improving heat distribution, they rely on the stove reaching a certain temperature to operate efficiently. If the stove does not generate enough heat, the fan may not start or may not move air effectively. Additionally, like any fan, wood stove fans cannot cool a stove or reduce its heat output—they only redistribute existing warmth.

Yes, you can oil an electric fan with machine or motor oil but don’t use cooking oil because it can become thick or seize up, damaging the fan. Before oiling your fan, turn it off and remove any dust and debris. Wipe away any excess lubricant after oiling.

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.

Duct fans in HVAC systems last an average of 15 to 20 years. Because these fans operate in relatively controlled environments, they can maintain their efficiency for a long period of time. To maximize the lifespan of your duct booster fan, have your HVAC system maintained regularly.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.
