"I had no hot water to my washing machine. My mother became ill and it became apparent that I needed hot water to wash her towels and bed linen. I had used American Plumbing in the past and they had always done satisfactory work. The day they were supposed to come to install the water heater was the day my mother died, so we had to postpone the project. So, the project began two weeks late. After putting the heater in place, the plumber discovered that the gas line was not big enough. Troy, the plumber, came up with a plan that was rejected by the gas company. They ended up having to dig a trench around the front of my house to run a new gas line. Troy then went of vacation. At least I did still have use of my washer. When Troy returned, they finally completed the hot water heater project as well as the hot water dispenser and the shower head. They did a great job on the work performed. The workers were very hard working in rather uncomfortable conditions, and were always courteous. The only complaint I had was that several days would go by when no work was done and my utility room was a wreck. However, I have used this company in the past and in the case of emergencies, they are very quick to respond. What they were doing on this project could in no way be considered an emergency."

"The problem began when my tenant called Entergy and said she smelled gas.  So, Entergy did what they do: turn off the gas and remove the meter.  Now it meant I had to find a licenced plumber willing to work with the city and do a gas test.  I called several plumbers and the ones I called did not do gas tests.  That's when I went to Angie's list and called Rick's Plumbling.  He responded quickly and decided it was best to just run new gas lines since this was a raised house with gas lines going to abandoned gas heaters etc.  The house did not have much room to work in because it wasn't very high off the ground.  His quote was $3500.  Athough it seemed very high, I did not feel like I had time to find another plumber willing to take on the project. Rick was extremely professional and I felt like he did a high quality job. He also fixed a broken water line under the house and put a vent in a door where the water heater was located. I could tell that Rick had a lot of experience and used high quality supplies to do the job.
As far as the price is concerned, I have to admit that I did not get any other quotes. So, the price for this job may have been competitive.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
