Options were spoken of and seemed good, and he contacted a supplier by phone to find out if the double sided coal basket was available and a custom one could be made.
He went up in my attic to look at my hvac problem also. Gave me some verbal recommendations from what was visible without the unit on long enough to see the water leak. He looked at the outside unit, too.
I think the visual inspection went well, but not worth the $169.00 fee.
The estimate for all fireplace work was emailed and a follow up phone call made to let me know the estimate was sent, but for removing the couple dozen bricks from my fireplace the estimate was far too high @ $900.00.
And I thought the remainder of the estimate to prepare the opening and place the ventless coal basket inside was also too high @ $2250.00. The price of the basket itself was acceptable, custom made with shipping included.
I wrote back that I thought the estimates were too high, and asked if he determined where my fireplace chimney was sealed, but did not get a response. I called to get an hvac estimate sent and have not heard back.

My vehicle was sideswiped and towed to Clean Fleet for repairs. They have done flawless paint and body work for many, many years, and have done work for family, friends, and neighbors with no problems. I talked to Sean and Brandt in the front office and explained exactly what i wanted done to my vehicle. 45 days later they called me and said the work was complete. I returned my rental vehicle ( which was being paid for by the party at fault ) and got a ride to their location. I got there close to their closing time, and drove my vehicle home to my garage. I later noticed a puddle of oil, looked underneath and found a bad shock ( they had changed all of the driver's side front end parts but that. The next morning i had the vehicle out in the sun and i noticed only half of the hood was painted, the dent from the accident was painted over, not repaired, and paint chips were painted over. The whole truck cab was supposed to be painted, only 1/3rd was done. The front grill was loose and vibrating. The new driver's side mirror can't be adjusted and is useless. The driver's side window rolls up hard. My truck cap, which was 3 days old before the accident, had sratches from the accident that were not repaired, and new ones from the body shop. The brake lights, and the dome light in the truck cap no longer worked from them removing and reinstalling it. I called Brandt at Clean Fleet, and he said, bring it back and we will drop everything and fix it. I made a list, on paper, so they wouldn't forget all of the things they were supposed to fix and dropped it off, now with no rental vehicle because i returned it. 8 days later they called me to get my vehicle, and told me they stayed late so i could get my vehicle, it was getting dark again. The next morning out in the sun i noticed the cab was not painted, the grill is loose, the driver's side mirror is useless, the shock is bad, they said it had to go bad on the way home from the body shop, and they would change it for $160, the truck cap lights don't work, and the window rolls up hard. I loved getting my vehicle repaired at this shop in the past, but there is a MAJOR disconnect between the front office and the body shop. I will have to bring my vehicle to another body shop to have the work completed. Now I'm out of repair money, and a rental vehicle. I don't want to use them again, and i can no longer recommend them to anyone. The management doesn't care evidently. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I chose this company because of their Google reviews. Kevin Senior came out, measured, and was so professional. He described the jobs and worked with my logistical concerns of a raised existing garden/waterfall and pets on properties (3 behind and...

"Review of Garcia Roofing I live in Mandeville in a house that is approximately 30 years old. My roof was worn and I did my research before contacting Garcia Roofing for an assessment and, ultimately, a proposal to replace. The salesperson was a former roofing company owner and came to my house, climbed on the roof, then reported back to me his findings. He documented three areas of potential failure and also thought overall the roof could last another 2 years or so. I requested a proposal to change now, selected the products that I wanted and he presented me with a firm and written proposal. He also explained the process so I would know what to expect. Garcia Roofing did all that they committed to including keeping me informed of their backlog, delivery date for my materials and dumpster, and introduced me to the jobsite supervisor, Alberto Nunez. An 8-man crew arrived at 6:00 am sharp on the appointed date and went right to work. Alberto arrived soon after and we went over the job to be sure that we were on the same page. There was never any confusion. The crew, lead by Jesus, worked 12+ hour days for 3 consecutive days. They removed the old asphalt shingles, felt paper, nails and drip edge. Then they installed the new drip edge, the valley material and the underlayment. At the end of each day there was never any exposed bare plywood. Alberto visited 2-3 times each day and went on the roof to discuss with Jesus and his crew as well as inspect the surface. The crew only took brief “hydration breaks”, but never left the roof to do so. One man would bring-up a bucket of cold bottled drinks to distribute. By the middle of the third day, the roof shingles and ridge tiles were complete and they spent the next 5 hours cleaning my property. They had laid tarps wherever possible, but that is not perfect. There was a good bit of debris around my home and detached building. One man used a blower to first clear the roof and gutters of debris. Everyone participated in cleaning the grounds and they did a great job. They raked, swept, used magnets to pick-up nails and many of them were on their hands and knees plucking nails from the surface. Alberto returned the next day to make a final inspection and get the last payment. He inspected my attic to be sure there was nothing out of place. I am VERY pleased with the final outcome of my new roof. I have a written guarantee and a dependable roofing contractor I can now call if I ever need service. I want to thank Alberto Nunez for supervision and quality control. And, of course, I want thank Jesus and his team for their meticulous skill, their extraordinary work ethic in the high heat of summer and say that I was fortunate to have these good men on my job. FAQs for chimney cap service projects in Ponchatoula, LA
Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.
A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.
Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature
Typically, a chimney cap will last from three to 25 years. This wide range is due to variables like climate, the material the cap is made from, and how often you use your fireplace. Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the life of your chimney cap.
The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.
