There are some tips when hiring a cabinet installer that’ll help prepare you to create a new space. When installing new cabinets, keep the following in mind:

To estimate the cost of your kitchen cabinet installation, measure along the wall where you want your cabinets to be. Add up the linear feet, remembering to include both upper cabinets and lower cabinets in your total. Make sure your shelves are no more than 12 inches deep. Any deeper and it will become hard to access items towards the back of the shelf. Yet, for larger walk-in pantries, homeowners may prefer 15- to 18-inch shelving to make room for larger appliances and cookware.

The most budget-friendly option is something called a prefabricated cart, which can be placed instead of installed. These units cost anywhere from $150 to $900. Prefabricated stationery islands are permanent fixtures and cost $900 to $5,000. Custom-built kitchen islands cost an average of $4,800 but can cost $10,000 or more.
