Yes, a sump pump is something that can make a home much more desirable because it protects against water damage. When selling a home, your buyers may have more peace of mind about the property's condition if they see that a sump pump is being used.

You will need an ejector pump if your plumbing is below the level of your municipal sewer line. Regular plumbing moves wastewater via gravity, whereas plumbing located below grade can’t rely on gravity to move sewage waste. An ejector pump is needed to provide extra movement to push sewage and wastewater through the pipes. Otherwise, gravity will cause a sewage overflow to occur.

You need a sewage ejector pump if you have appliances or fixtures that use water below ground, such as basement sinks, bathrooms, or laundry facilities. If all of your indoor plumbing connections are above ground, on the main floor or higher, gravity can do the work without a sewage ejector pump.
