"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

"I found them on Angie's list. We had a few minor problems and they quickly fixed them. The workers did not cover the furniture and i had to clean that up. The owner paid for someone to come out and clean our home. They cut some wires on accident that went to our security system and they took care of that."

"Mr. Lopes came out and check the job out . He gave me a great price and then went to work . He took all the measurments , went to the local hardware store and got all the raw material that he needed . Once he came back , he went straight to work, Pulled the old sheet rock down . Removed the window AC unit . Choped out the old broken window sill . Pull all the old wet insulation out of the wall . Then he braced up the entire wall with more support . Added the new insulation . Rebuilt and replaced the old window sill . Replaced the sheet rock . Mudded and tape it up . Sanded the wall . And then repainted the entire are to make it blend it with the rest of the room . You can not tell that there ever was problem , it looks so good . Then to finish it off , he reinstalled the window AC unit . He made sure that it was tight , and that it had the correct angle to lean back to prevent the water from leaking into the wall again . Best work for the money that I have seen in a long while . Must say , Mr. Lopes has a old school attitude about doing thing right the first time . I like that .

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, products made from renewable resources and with reduced chemical impacts.

The best time to insulate a garage ceiling is when the weather is mild and dry. That means it shouldn’t be stormy, snowy, or raining, and the temperatures should be comfortable. Ideally, you’ll insulate your garage ceiling in the fall, before winter hits. Not only will you be the most comfortable, but you’ll also likely see the greatest energy savings heading into the colder weather with a newly insulated garage.

You should not put fiberglass insulation in basements, since fiberglass is known to trap mold and mold is more commonly grown and produced in basements. You should also avoid placing insulation near water heaters, oil burners, or other hot appliances. For more information about the best and worst places to install insulation, consider hiring an insulation professional.

One of the biggest disadvantages of glass garage doors is that they are not the best at insulating your garage. In the summer, heat can enter through the glass, while in the winter, heat can escape through the glass, increasing your electricity and gas bills as you crank up your HVAC unit. You can help mitigate the poorer insulation by investing in insulated glass and insulating your garage.

EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) siding can last from 20 to 60 years, with some properly maintained systems lasting even longer. The exact lifespan depends heavily on several factors, most notably the quality of the initial installation and the consistency of maintenance.

Factors that can shorten the life of EIFS include:

  • Improper or poor-quality installation

  • Moisture intrusion

  • Damage from high winds, storms, or hail

  • Damaged flashing and sealant

  • Lack of regular maintenance and unfixed damage

To maximize the lifespan of your EIFS, it is crucial to hire an experienced and qualified professional for the installation. Additionally, regular maintenance—such as cleaning, repairing small cracks or blisters, and having the system professionally inspected—will help identify and resolve issues quickly, preventing long-term damage.
