"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

"Rose de Nola pulled me out of a tight spot on a house flip after another contractor failed to meet expectations. They fixed a serious foundation issue on the existing home and added a master bath and master bedroom in under 5 weeks, turn-key. The house was on the market and sold in less than 2 months and the build was permitted with plans. That's an impressive feat and the project manager for my job kept me in the loop along the way. Well done."

Spent 5 years learning the craft based on my own interests. Keeps customer completely satisfied. Spend all day thinking about air leakage and how to help those in the Louisiana climate zone. Someone can have the best built home, but if they do not have the correct air sealing, they will be uncomfortable and spend unnecessary money on their energy. My mission is to make my customers the most comfortable in their homes, and save them money.

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

Yes, pros suggest units with high EER ratings for energy savings.

Motion-sensor lights use one watt while on standby and five watts while turned on. They’re usually on for one hour over a 24-hour period, bringing the total wattage to about 28 watts per day. LED lights use around 6.5 to 8 watts while on. If you leave an LED light on all night, with night ranging from 10 to 14 hours, you’re looking at using 65 to 112 watts a night. You can minimally cut your wattage in half by switching to a motion-sensor light.

You can check your home's humidity in a few ways. A simple option is to use a hygrometer, which you can find at a hardware or big box store. Your smartphone may also have an app that can measure humidity. Modern thermostats, particularly smart thermostats, are also able to measure humidity levels.

There is no blanket figure for a residential home’s electrical load, since load varies by the size of the home, how many appliances are used, and the efficiency of their electrical systems. Typically, however, it’s safe to assume 40 to 60 amps is the average electrical load of a residential home.

Yes, Tesla Powerwalls are worth the upfront costs, as you can recoup your investment within six to eight years. Plus, they provide peace of mind that you'll have power during a power outage, and, depending on the system you install, you can become energy-independent. While they may be more expensive than other solar power systems, they offer higher battery capacity and lifespan.
