"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Though cedar shakes often get confused with shingles, there are a few key differences between wood shakes and wood shingles. For one, cedar shingle prices are lower, although shingles are less durable than wood shakes. Furring strips reduce heat transfer to your home. Unlike materials like wood roof shakes, metal panels have a high heat conductivity and will readily pass heat to the materials underneath. If that material is your roof deck, you’ll notice hotter temperatures in your living space, especially during the summer. Furring strips add a layer of air insulation to reduce that heat transfer.

There are two main types of roofing shingles: 3-tab and architectural. Architectural shingles cost more than 3-tab but offer a more unique look and can last longer. However, 3-tab shingles are lightweight and affordable, and many people use them for both patching roofs and installing new roofs. Ultimately, the best type for you depends on your budget and your home’s aesthetic.

Some contemporary-style homes also lack eaves, although many may have abbreviated eaves to divert water and protect the walls and foundation. Homes without eaves often have specific types of gutters affixed directly to the edge of the roof to provide adequate drainage.

Generally, the term “rolled roofing” refers to MSR (mineral surface roll) roofing. This type of roofing is similar to asphalt shingles but comes in a roll that’s unraveled and installed over your roof deck.
