"I normally do not take the time to write letters of recommendation or reviews, however, in this case, I have felt compelled to share my experience we had with Paragon Pools and Christian Kavodia particularly.  Without hesitation, to say we are impressed with our custom gunite pool is an absolute understatement.  It was obvious the Paragon was not interested in just turning out another pool and moving on to the next one. Christian made sure that meeting all our expectations was a top priority. Trust me when I say we are somewhat hard folks to deal with, in terms of quality.

When the pool was laid out in our backyard we met our Christian and he walked us through all phases of construction very professionally.. Christian created a design plan that surpassed all of our expectations! It included a very functional layout for the pool, tanning decks, rocks, water features, lighting, fencing, decking and many other conversation pieces. He and his staff turned our backyard into a small slice of paradise.
Christian is an owner that has his hands on the job the entire time. Prior to meeting with Christian, we meet with 2 other pool
companies and neither of them came close to the vision Christian offered. On top of that, his engagement and I normally do not take the time to write letters of recommendation or reviews, however, in this case, I have felt compelled to share my experience we had with Paragon Pools and Christian Kavodia particularly.  Without hesitation, to say we are impressed with our custom gunite pool is an absolute understatement.  It was obvious the Paragon was not interested in just turning out another pool and moving on to the next one. We began our journey with Paragon having never built a pool before. Christian and staff were very professional and extremely
helpful in educating us on all of our options. From beginning to end our experience was an exceptionally good one. The quality of their company?s workmanship and customer service is excellent. I could really go on and on about our experience.
Without hesitation, I would recommend Paragon Pool Design & Construction to anyone looking to turn there backyard into paradise at a very competitive price.

Fencing questions, answered by experts

When choosing wood for a fence, consider your budget and geographic region. The most popular and common types of wood are cedar, redwood, and pressure-treated pine. Cedar is a top choice due to its natural durability, resistance to rot and insects, and budget-friendly price. Redwood is another durable, tried-and-true option, though it is typically more expensive. Pressure-treated wood, such as pine, is also a widely used and popular alternative. These materials are readily available at most hardware stores, which makes future repairs and replacements easier. Their accessibility and long-lasting performance make them excellent choices for most fence installation projects.

Most people prefer to keep the fence level by “stepping” the fence when running a horizontal fence over a slope. Stepping involves raising each panel between the posts as the fence moves over changes in slope, giving the fence line the appearance of stair steps. While this may be the preferred method of running a horizontal fence up a slope, there’s nothing wrong with installing your fence so it follows the undulations in the ground instead.

How long a wood fence lasts depends on the type of wood and its style. The design of a shadow box fence makes it more durable than other fence types because the alternating pickets disperse the weight across the rails. As a result, you won’t have to worry as much about sagging or failing pickets. However, remember that the hollow design of a shadow box fence makes it more difficult to apply the sealer, which is crucial to extending its life.

If possible, it is beneficial to paint both sides of your fence to protect the fence more completely from the elements. Painting both sides of your fence will create a more consistent appearance as well. However, the time and cost involved in painting both sides of the fence may cause people to paint only the side they see.

A bamboo fence can last up to 20 years when properly installed and maintained. Bamboo is a durable material, but to get the most life out of it, you should clean and seal the fence every few years. Staining the bamboo can also restore the appearance if the color fades over time. Use screws to fasten the bamboo, rather than twine, to ensure the bamboo fence stays together longer.
