"I received a quick response from Briley Tree Services on a tree removal and trim. I highly recommend this company for any tree work. They kept me informed through out the whole process, was professional, polite and very reasonably priced. The crew was precise and knowledgable with all work performed and afterwards did a spectacular cleanup. Overall, Briley Tree Services did an amazing job!"

"I originally hired them to haul off some trash/junk. During that visit I learned about all the different services they provide and I have expanded my usage of their services. I have several acres that need attention and they have all the equipment to help with that. The work is ongoing but is going well."

"We had a very difficult tree to be removed which required a lot of precision and patience to prevent damaging, fence, storage shed, etc of our neighbors. Although it required additional time, Tyrone made it happen. He was very conscientious throughout the procedure including excellent cleanup. We would definitely recommend him and will also use him again."

Small jobs welcome

"I had some timber people come to my place and leave a big mess on my property. Mr. Flesher came up here, told me what he can do. and followed through impeccably. He fenced my driveway, removed stumps, smoothed out my property from where the timber people tore it up, and leveled out the land. He is very reliable, polite, and dependable. Goes above and beyond. Gives recommendations, instead of just charging for services that haven't been discussed."

If an arborist is certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), the highest level of certification available is ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. According to the ISA, this credential is reserved for arborists “who have reached the pinnacle of their profession.” Check your arborist’s credentials before hiring to confirm their level of training and expertise.

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.

You can never truly stop a maple tree from growing taller, but you can rein in its growth by pruning. Proper pruning helps maintain a safe size for your tree without causing permanent damage. It’s important to start pruning a tree while it’s young, long before it becomes a problem. Otherwise, you may be left with too many hazardous branches to remove at once.

The best time to cut down a tree is during its dormant season, typically in winter or early spring, after all the leaves have fallen. Removing a tree during this period is advantageous for several reasons. Frozen ground helps secure the tree stump, protects the surrounding landscape from damage, and reduces the risk of the tree falling in an unintended direction. With the leaves gone, there is less risk of the tree's foliage getting tangled with other trees. Additionally, since this is often a slower season for tree services, you may be able to hire a professional at a lower rate. This dormant period is also the best time for tree trimming.

Yes, burning wood with Dutch elm disease is a safer way to dispose of it than, say, tossing it in with the rest of your yard waste, which could potentially allow it to spread to healthy trees. But it’s always a good idea to check with your local government to make sure you’re complying with any ordinances about removing diseased trees as well as burning brush piles.
