Perry came in and framed and built support for a waterfall I had installed on my pond.

After terracing the ground, poured a cement foundation and then mounted the rocks. Plumbing was added to bring the exhaust water from my water cooled heat pump to the waterfall. Now when the A/C runs, exhaust water flows over the waterfall and into my pond.

We have a hilled Garden, and he built the steps to the upper level allowing access to a bench where solitude and viewing may be had.

Small jobs welcome

"I’m very pleased with Veterans Excavation, They were very professional with the Land clearing, 42 tree stumps grinding. If an unexpected issue came up and had to redirect things. It was all done professionally. Veterans excavation also removed some small trees that I wanted to remove and replant in another area of the property. Veterans Excavation put safety first. I would use this company again . Thank you, Veterans Excavation, for meeting my expectations with everything that needed to be done."

At BC Rock Forms, we help to preserve our fragile natural environment each year by reducing the demand for natural rocks by many tons. Natural rock waterfalls are built by ripping rocks from their natural settings. And the damage done is detrimental, especially to moss-covered rocks. In these hard economic times, we ensure the quality of our work remains top-notch. Whether we're creating an efficient modular waterfall, custom rock waterslide, cave, grotto, hot tub, or beautiful garden border, our craftsmanship is unparalleled; and our attention to detail is a reflected by the final project. We offer safety and accountability for your children, relaxing therapeutic sounds, and visual beauty that adds value to your property. Make your next vacation a "staycation." Fountains questions, answered by experts

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

Small ponds can be drained and filled in about a day. Larger ponds will take two or three days for professional removal.

One of the most important parts of building a pond is digging the right depth. Your pond needs to be at least one to two feet deep. The specifics of the depth will depend on factors such as the placement of the pond and whether you plan on having fish. If you have fish in your pond, it will need to be at least two feet deep.
