Have called on Action Plumbing for several jobs over the years. Mike is always quick to respond, provide an accurate estimate, and do the job as specified. He’s always given me a heads up if it looked like additional work might be needed.

Son came out and appraised work at $500. My wife took care of all and was taken advantage of. When father and son came out to do the job, dad charges more than appraised. Wife paid the bill. When I arrived back at home (working 28/28 at the time) I called to see if he could explain the difference. Dad explained up to $500 which included labor and twice the rental of a ditching machine but could only justify the difference ($200) as profit. No written estimate made at time of estimate so BBB could not do anything.

Outside faucets are perfect, same day new part came in for kitchen faucet they came within minutes, fixed the problem and I'm as happy as the other times they came. Highly recommend.

One couldn't ask for more from a service company. Punctual. Professional. Courteous. Any questions I had were answered on the spot, none of this 'I'll have to get back to you', stuff. There was electrical work and marble work involved in the bathroom work. Action had all of that taken care of, scheduling and all. I can't recommend Action Plumbing high enough. Call Action and rest easy.

One man came the day i called to survey the job. They came the next morning with the new water heater. They were prompt and showed up on time. The water heater replacement only took about an hour even though it was in the attic. They have the tools to do the job. I did not ask for an estimate. I was given a receipt but it was not itemized. I had to go through a reset procedure on my gas furnace after the gas was turned off. They did not help with that but it is not their expertise. Overall I was pleased because a leaky water heater in the attic needs to be replaced ASAP and they were quick to respond.

Mr. Ed Ratliff the owner came to our home and quoted us a price of 6500.00 to install the pipes. He told us he could start in about a month or so and we were fine with that because we did not have any leaks or any emergency. The way he spoke it was going to take a week or longer to complete the pipes, again this was not a problem. About a week later I called and ask if he would also replace a tub with the fixtures and curtain rod he said he could, but he did not give me a price. So about a month later the work stared with my pipes.
Mr.Ratliff subcontracted another plumber named Chris. He replaced all my pipes in one day with no other workers, about 8 hours of work. My husband and I thought no way that was $6500.00 for one worker and one day of work. The next day Mr. Ratliff came for about an hour and helped Chris move out my old tub and move in my new tub, then he left and Chris worked alone for the rest of the day.
The real problem started on the end of the second day, Chris broke my tankless water heater. I don't know how he broke it but I was getting hot water and then it would stop. Mr. Ratliff kept making excuses saying it not their fault and I need a new water heater. I asked him how much do I owe you so far, he said I don't know I have to talk to Chris. I talked to Ed about 5 times about what kind of water heater and where to put it. I told him I wanted another tankless in the same place in my utility room.
The next day I had to boil water and take a bath, I left a key and went to work. I came home about pm and Chris and two other worker had put the tankless water heater outside of my home. I have a whole in my ceiling and three pipe hole in my floor.
On Friday, December 7 Mr. Ratliff and Chris came to my home with a bill for $8,415.00. My husband got very mad and was yelling at them, it was not pleasant. My husband should have never lost his temper. So two days work that was for my benefit and three hours of work that was needed to put my water heater in the wrong place and $1500.00 for a tankless water heater that they broke, I was charged $8415.00. On the invoice there is no warranty for work or how much for materials and I did not get a receipt for my water heater that I did not need. Then on Sunday my husband looked under the house, the old pipes are still there and some old pieces of pipe are on the ground and most of the new flex pipe is on the ground. Please get every thing in writing. That was our big mistake. Action Plumbing took no responsibility for anything.

Response from Action Plumbing & Heating
"I am Ed Ratliff owner Action Plumbing&Heating Inc. We have been in business in this area since 1977 with an excellent reputation and a long list of established & repeat customer base As stated in this review I am not professional seems she had a good while to change her mind. Also what was not stated that her raised hose is very low and floods when it rains. The delay in starting her job was because we waiting for dryer conditions and when we did start is was still very wet. My crews were tied up so after a discussion with she agreed yo my suggestion of Chris Wrinkles W/Wrinkles Plumbing doing her job before it got wet again. She was quoted a price of 6500.00 for material &labor and never asked how long it would take . Prior to starting job she said she wanted to change out a claw foot tub with new faucets ,supply lines, drain and ceiling mount shower curtain ring assembly never asking for a price. Job on repipe went better than expected so we changed out tub and repaired a lavatory faucet in the same bathroom for the original price of $6500.00 . We did not break her 8 year old water heater we shut water off to heater unplugged ignitor installed new water lines to heater plugged in igniter and the next day the heater started acting up. This off brand tankless water heater was installed by her carpenter with improper vent no isolation kit inproper sized gas line and overloaded electrical circuit. We went back to get model&serial numbers to research unit to trouble shoot and was told to replace unit because if ther was not hot water when her husband returned home she would have h*** to pay so replaced unit with and out door unit because and indoor unit ,vet pipe and roof jack was not available or a roofer to change roof jack in roof. After changing heater an inspection of old unit was made it was clogged with lint from dryer and the chambers in heater we clogged with scale and mineral deposits. We were told to come by Friday after 3.30 pm to pickup a check and was mobbed by irate husband cussing ,screaming and threatning us and was not allowed to say anything what so ever. She received and invoice with everything listed ,warranty papers where left and warranty on the rest of the work was explained. This was quite an experience that I am not accustomed to. All piping was strapped to floor joist with no piping laying on ground. She was asked about removal of old piping and we were told not to worry about it. The warranty on the tankless water heater is through Coburns Supply the rest is through us. Any legitimate complaints will be discussed and handled as long as it can be civil"

Action Plumbing and Heating came promptly. We had a sewage problem and they let us know about it so we had the tanks cleaned out. They came back and dug up the drainage and made a manual pier for the pipe to leave through it. They did a very good job and they were reasonably priced.

They did a good job. I was pleased with the service. It was a medium-sized job. The price was reasonable. The manager when he said he would come out, he did come out. He is very friendly to people and he does a good job.
