"When we first moved into our home, our backyard was sad and pitiful. The "steps" attached to our back patio door were probably unsafe at best. We contacted DJ Construction thinking we wanted a deck built. Darwin came over and consulted with us and suggested possibly pouring a stamped concrete patio instead. (We NEVER even considered that before) He showed us some ideas and how he could make it work for us and we loved the idea! We also had dogs and it allowed them to keep the space they needed to run around our yard still without a deck taking up space they couldn't be on. We couldn't be more pleased with the results! Our backyard is now our oasis! The concrete patio has given us MORE living and useful space than any deck would have. People are shocked to find out what's behind our gates. Lol The bonus is we know we have something beautiful and unique to our neighborhood. So when it came time to have a part of our driveway repaired and some front of the house beautification work done to our walkway, there was no doubt who we were going to call. "Things started well. Gentry responded quickly and arrived the next day. We planned for repairs on the front door of a small hotel. That is prone to door pulling by the unhoused. I asked him to replace the door closer to the reinforcement plate, add weather stripping, do some touch-ups to the door frame cosmetically, and ensure the door latch securely. The project took about two and a half hours that afternoon. The project took a turn when he failed to check that the door latched securely. upon completion. I have a recording of the door being pulled open easily, taking minutes after he left, which had not happened before his repairs. He returned one and a half hours later and actually thought the door was locked simply by looking at it. I had to encourage him to pull it open to test it. He decided the electronic latch was the issue. It wasn't, and I had to hire a second repairman to fix his work on the door closer. At over 150 dollars an hour. I expected more care, better workmanship and attention to detail."
